1) Threads need to provide some sort of motivation for discussion to avoid getting locked.
2) Try to avoid spamming. "we can talk cubs" was a short, mostly irrelevant post. Strive to put at least 7 words in your posts, that's typically an okay way to avoid spamming.
3) If you want to discuss a certain sports team, that's fine. Make a thread to discuss it (and put some actual effort into the OP, don't just say "discuss X here!". Making a "club" just encourages short "I wanna join" replies, and... Well. That's spam, which gets them locked.
4) Going all CAPS with statements of hate is very close to flaming, and flaming is against the rules of this forum. Thus it can actually get you banned. So, refrain from doing it.
