Hey guys. So yeah, I know this is an awkward forum topic, but bear with me, mmkay?
So my mom is in labor. And I'm so excited! It's going to be a boy. And the name is a secret Even though I'm excited, I'm also very scared. I'm 13 my older brother is 16 and my younger brother is 12! So yeah, a HUGE age difference there. I'm kinda scared cause my parents are... well... kinda... er... well goodnes how should I put this?...um...*ahem*...older? And I'm afraid because there um... old....er me and my brothers will need to take care of the little punk. Look at me, already calling him names before he's even born! And also, my parents are self-employed, and have there own business. So they already have a lot to worry about. And because they have a lot to do. We will probably need to do a lot. And I don't know if I'm ready for that. There are also the other responsibilities like, keeping the house constantly clean. Keeping the pets away from the baby. Making sure that the baby doesn't wander off.
well split up the work between you guys. have like u guys all clean the house. one of u guys watches the baby the other keeps the pets away for a lil and then one of u is on break. then rotate. just make a system kinda. thats what me and my gf do with her baby sister somtimes
You have to set up a "laypen" in order to keep the baby from wandering off. This will help you out big time when the baby learns to crawl. You'll be able to keep track of him without having to worry about watching him, or about the pets attacking him. Just make sure that the pets can't climb over the playpen wall.
it will all work out in the end for you, just do what you are told and try to help your mom as much as you can. but if i were you i would be pretty ticked as well
be a good older brother, pick on him but be cool and chill and teach him about everything he needs to know that adults won't tell him.
So you want him to do this to a new born?
Well basically try as hard as you can not to be a bad unfluence. Not use any foul language near him because any words you say could be his first. Second if your mother of father tells you to change the babies diaper don't be afriad because this can help with a relationship with him later. Brotherly love you know. It's always a good thing. Be gentle and don't hit him ever. You will not believe what a pregnate woman can do if her baby is injured. Trust me my sister has five kids.

Funny story bout' that. My friend has a 3 year old little brother. One time my friends uncle came to visit and the uncle said a bad word! (jack***) So the next day, they caught him repeating, "Jack***! Jack***! Jack***! Yeah...

Whoa! That is really interesting, I'll keep that in mind!

Thanks for the advice. Oh, and another funny story about that. My friends taught there younger brother at age 3 how to wrestle!

Thanks!
Well, thanks for all the support and advice. I appreciate it.
I would think your 16 year old brother would be forced to help out more then you. Your lucky that you aren't the oldest, parents make you do all the work.
