Ok, so many people feel that call of duty modern warefare 2 is overrated. I, personally, don't think it is highly overrated but is slightly talked about to much. (Some kids in my class spend their entire school day either talking or thinking about mw2.) Let me know what you think.
I'd have to say, all of the go around and blow everyone up games are really overrated. especially the ones without a plot line. This does not include Halo, because it has a plot for all u haters. Can anyone tell me of a game that is like a war game that actually has a thurough plot, and this doesn't include defending from attacking countries!?

have you played call of dutys single player mode.... it is a compelling story line....
First, MW2 is one of the most anticipated console games in history. And it's for the most part, fulfilled it's promise. It's recieved great reviews from numorous publication reviewers, including 9.5 out of 10 from IGN. Modern Warfare 2 is the biggest entertainment launch in history. Therefore, saying it's overrated is really an irrelevant statement.
On the other hand, it has lots and lots of issues with online play that Infinity Ward is just too cocky and lazy to adjust/fix. The spawn system is terrible, some guns are overpowered, people hack and glitch in the game all the time. Looking at these statements, the game seems by far, overrated.
But all in all, still a great game, in my opinion. It has problems but overrated? Nah.
Halo 3 is a good game but is noting compared to MW2, there so much to do in MW2. In Halo 3 there is no unlockable, no point to continue playing just to get ranked up. I'm not saying Halo isn't fun but there is just nothing to play for. In MW2, thats a different story. Let me put it this way, theres more unlockables in MW2 then there were handcuffs in Hodini's closet.
Omg kirby you are obviously not a serious gamer! - As for me, Halo was THE better game, and ill explain why: Halo needed TEAM work to win. And yes there are no unlockments, but tbh, a game dont needs unlockments. In Halo u had to pick weapons up, to use them. And there were no classes to choose from etc. - MW2 Is by FAR alot funnier, since you can unlock things, but the thing is when playing Tournaments and stuff like that, that make the game unbalanced say that "OpTiC" Are all level 70, And some other team's are 50 or what ever. The team that are level 50 doesent have the same weapons and some perks maybe, this is why MW2 is not BETTER, BUT FUNNIER!

I take it that you have yet to realise the by level 10 you have everything you need. FAMAS, PP2000, Stopping Power, Marathon, Commando. Taadaa. You win. Two hours into the game and you've got the most powerful weapons you can get. Not much point unlocking everything else as getting more powerful weapons is the motivation to levelling up and if you're not getting them after level 10 your only influence to level up is the addiction which is practically what MW2 is made to do. Get everyone addicted and trick them into believing that they may get lucky, or they may be in with a bunch of n00bs and keep them playing for absolutely ages no matter how much they hate the game.

Halo is a pretty modern game, it has a nice graphics engine and everything but it has the charm of an old-school shooter in that sense.

Read what a wrote before. They don't need anything that Optic has (unless they want M21 EBR or Desert Eagle) because they've already got all the best weaponry.
