AG has a Art, Music and Writing forum for all your arts...so you should post it there.
You could make a thread about Fan Art there (Actually, a pretty good idea! Be fun to post pictures there).
I however, disagree with having x AP amount just to submit an art [Other than the 1 ap you get for posting in that forum] because anyone can just post any old art, which could be inappropriate... So I think the 1 AP you get from posting is enough.
I agree as well: You shouldn't be getting additional AP for something we cannot be 100% sure is yours and is worth the AP.
I'm pretty sure users will take a personally liking to a thread on fan art for Ag (I might post my junk there).
Not to mention the miss-use of that featured thread...
People could get the idea of surfing Google for fan art pics that other people made and post them in their own name, not to mention to simply get extra AP for the credit other people deserve... simply not done and not going to happen I'm afraid... :S
User submitted fan art should go into the Art, Music, and Writing Forum. In fact, there is a fan art thread for Toast of War! And yes, you get points for posting in that forum.
