HI HELLO HOW ARE YOU HOW HAS YOUR DAY BEEN THATS GOOD I HOPE THE REST OF YOUR DAY IS GOOD ETC ETC ETC

Welcome to the new Draw that Pokemon!

The old thread was getting quite long, and burdened by Estel decided to make it MS Paint only. We eventually made it all art programs, however it then made the title verrrryyy lonnngggg.

So, this is the brand new fresh clean wiped clear thread, with some ubertastic new rules (basically same as last time)!

Rules:

The pictures must be somehow related to the theme, which is a Pokemon, and must conist mainly of that one. Other pokemon can be included, however it will be the theme pokemon that will be judged.

The pictures must be appropriate, so no Pokefurryness or I herd yu liek mudkipz graphic references.

The prize at the end of each round will be to pick the theme of the next round. There will be no merit prize unless otherwise stated.

Any art program may be used.

Lineart is accepted, as long as it is clearly different to the original drawing. It may be helpful to link to the reference image. However, on this note, entries that are more original and different to the common poses may be likely to do better at judging. BE ORIGINAL!

Please do not copy the drawings of anyone else, as this is plaugerism and is ILLEGAL! If you do so you will be immediately disqualified and futher action may be taken by the Mods. However, if you believe that a picture is copied, please do not make a fuss of it in the thread - instead post a comment on either my profile, Cenere's or Zophia's (as they are the two moderators who frequent this contest most).

Please do not bug the judge about when the judging will be, as this is extremely annoying - and it will turn up eventually, but you must remember that judges do have lives...

If the winner of the previous contest does not post a new theme within FOUR days, then a new one will be chosen by the judge.

If you remember, his Lapras was done in paint as well.

of course i remember his lapras...that was just last week! but you could clearly tell it was paint...I don't think he used paint which is why if he says he did I will @$%# myself!

Nice sketch ABarOfSoap, I would only suggest that you spend some amount of time to produce a good one...I should have spent a longer time on mine to make it more realistic, but it was late and i was tired and content with it...

I'm pretty sure that is paint. Cenere does things in paint that I didn't think were possible. If you remember, his Lapras was done in paint as well

Yeah, his Lapras clearly looked like it was made in paint. Looked amazing, too. Cenere's Mebukijika looks more like it was created in another program, one major indication being that he used the blur tool.

Cen's Mebukijika is most likely painted in SAI or Photoshop, although I doubt he used the blur tool (a soft brush seems more likely).

Rarw.

Ello: I could have done it in MsPaint, but I didn't. Decided to go somewhere else with it, that I can't quite do in paint (yet).
So, that would be the doings of Easy Paint Tool Sai, and my getting gradually more lazy.

Also, just to make it clear:
1. Sai does not have a (functional) blur tool. It has a blend tool, that is some mutant baby of blur and smudge (there is no smudge tool in Sai). I used that for the blurry effects.
2. I do not normally use the blur tool anymore. Same goes for smudge when I am playing around in Elements. They don't work as well as the blend tool in Sai, and the results are usually not very good. Rather I use a low opacity brush, and "smudge/blur" it that way.

I must say... Sai is amazing. Detects pen pressure extremely well, and creates extremely smooth lines.

Wow, I haven't been in this section for in forever (Purposely had bad grammar there :P)! How's everyone doin'? Maybe I'll get around to it.. I highly doubt it though... I'll make an effort if I can stop playing Minecraft.

Whoa! Pazx's style looks so much like mine! Probably cause it's Flash...

I don't use Flash. I couldn't afford that. It's expensive isn't it?

Vector art is nice but not enough brush effects anyways I am assuming we still got like 2 weeks to do these? I have been experimenting on how to draw hair/fur and it takes alot of time...

My dad got Flash 8 while he was getting his PhD in university. So I think it was like $200 - $400.
