By my opinion, i think old games should be removed, i mean the ones with low ranks or if people don't play them anymore.

People are always playing games constantly, even the old ones. Obviously, some more than others, but every once in a while someone will stumble upon an old game, and they'll end up really enjoying it and they'll spread it to their friends and it will get more popular.

If they were to eliminate those games, those people who like them would start asking what happened to them, and when they don't find them, they'll probably lose their mind; not because their game is gone, but because they were sure it was there before and now they can't find it.

What would you accomplish by deletion of older games, besides a slight increase in available memory?

This is a useless point and following it would contradict with the purpose of this website.

I'm totally going to throw out all of those awesome movies from the '70s in my movie library because they're just old.

No. Just no.

And then give them to me. Back then, PG meant getting to see titties!

Nowadays the internet lets you do that with just one word into google.

Bad suggestion... like said before by other users, the older games are of value to (without a doubt) a lot of gamers here with AG and by deleting them, no real improvement would be made, only to upset the users that enjoy playing those games!

And AG will expand through the years, making the argument about having more server space useless...

I would only agree to dumping the 'oldies' games when they start slowing down the site's performance. It would be nice to let us gamers vote on the ones on the "doomed" list?

Slowing down the website will never happen, at least... as long as AG is keeping tabs on the expanding of the website that is...

Like I said before, the AG website will grow over time with all the new games coming out every week, so eventually they will be needing extra servers to cope with the space needed to store them. Deleting some games would be like... ahm... taking one cup of water out of a full watertank and then pour a whole bucket full of water in it, making it overflow... so it's not going to make a big difference here!
(hope my comparison wasn't too hilarious, but hey... what can I say... I'm 'Dutch' LOL)

And one little argument that has BIG consequenses is that even if a particular game is not very high on the 'laying count', there are bound to be AG users that would be furious when it would be removed and they will easily go to another website to play them...

And that's something AG will try to prevent...

@meatloak: have you ever played Antbuster?
Sure it's old, but try it, you won't be disappointed.

The problem is, even if certain games aren't preferable to the majority of Armor Games, there are people who specifically come to AG to play them. For example, dress up games. Most people on this site don't play or even like those. But there is a group of people (younger females) who do come on the site and play these games. So even though it may have a small number of plays, and a low score, some people enjoy them.

There... Carlie stepped in and made it clear to all users! Thanx Carlie! =D

Now I guess this thread can be closed since the statement she made tells it all...

No more discussion needed on this subject...
