sorry ure not a fan of punk music. wasnt one of the best sogns theyve played but it is listenable. and no effence to bob dylan but hes kidna boring with his music..... mcr is a punk band and thats just what they are. thats the kind of music that they play and they arent going to make any of there music boring

That doesn't make up for the fact that they took a classic, chewed it up, swallowed it, vomited it back out, ate the vomit, and then poo'd it out their amps.
they didnt they took a boring bob dylan song and made it interesting with there own style of music. just like jimi did with all along the watchtower
not true at all. they didn't add anything to it. it's the same melody, and same chords. They even took out the lead acoustic part, and instead just played power chords. They didn't make it more interesting at all. they just made it louder and faster. Not only that, but when it's played the way they play it, the song completely loses its meaning. What jimi did with all along the watchtower was much different because he added a lot of musical elements that weren't in the original, while still playing it in a style that still preserved the meaning of the song. same goes for The Byrds when they did Mr. Tambourine Man, and You Ain't Going Nowhere.

But you said they made it more interesting, which I have proven that they didn't. I don't care what movie they did it for, they should never have done it. Also are you saying that they just did the song because they were getting paid for it, so they didn't have to give a shit about it? Because that's just retarded. If you expect to be a good musician, (which they are obviously not, but still) You need to put effort int your songs. also I didn't say they had do add meaning to it, you just can't throw the whole meaning of the song out just so that you can make it more hardcore. That's like spitting in the original composer's face.

What did they do, other than Making it louder and faster? That's all they did. and I agree that it doesn't take much to make his songs better, but It also doesn't take much to completely ruin one of his songs either, as seen in MCR's version of Desolation row. also, he definitely doesn't have a boring voice. his voice is very unique, much more so than the singer in MCR. The singer didn't do anything to the melody or the way it is sung to make it any more interesting.
Now I'm done arguing with you because I believe I've made my point, and to try and reiterate it to you would be a waste of time.
im willing to pay 20 to 30 dollers on a pre released cd.
lol theres nothing wrong with the version that they did they did it for the movie and they got paid lol. and thats MCR's style so thats how they made the song. faster and harder is there way of making music. you dont remake a song exactly the way it was origanally made. thats more boring then bob dylan
