Maybe this has been suggested before... maybe not. But I'm going to suggest it anyway!

How about having small screenshots and maybe a 'unch line' with the 'game-atars' on Armor Games?

That would seriously increase the 'surf-ability' of the games on the website for the visiting guests and make the expansion rate of new users climb...

I know it has the disadvantage of costing new programming and server space, but I think it has the potential of being a good tool for AG to attract new users!

It made me visit several gaming websites frequently, because I could see what the game was like and read a little about it before I choose to play it or not!

What do you guys and girls think... =D

I don't like the idea. I can find out what the game is like by playing it. I like the way things are now. I like to be able to go straight to the game I click on rather than have a presentation page in between. Also, bigger thumbnails and description areas mean fewer games can fit on the screen. All I need to know is what the game is called to identify it, and a small icon is good to help me identify it a little quicker while scrolling through a lot of games.

It's all right for sites to follow the examples of other sites when it's an obvious improvement, but this seems like more of a matter of taste to me. If we make this site just like some other site, why would people choose this site over the other one? Differentiating the site from others is a good way to attract people. If you think the other site is more to your liking, why are you here? One of the biggest reasons I like AG is because of the very things you want to change. It just gives you the games: no BS. And that's what I want.

that sounds like a good idea but im not sure what you mean still..

Have a look at the competition and you'll see what I mean!

Awesome! What did she say about it?

Carlie's reply is on page 1 of this thread... =D
Haven't heard from her since though...

Also, bigger thumbnails and description areas mean fewer games can fit on the screen.

Compared to other gaming websites, AG's homepage is rather small... most gaming websites have double the amount of space used to present their games, so why not AG? =)

And I'm not asking them to make the thumbnails bigger if you read my suggestion closely Tharos...

If we make this site just like some other site, why would people choose this site over the other one?

If you think the other site is more to your liking, why are you here?

Simple answer to both questions... because of AG's healthy community! =)

I'll try to bump the thread again to get Carlie's (or any other mod's) attention again, since no one replied after my last post of April 7th...

Still would like to know what AG thinks of the idea! =D

And I DO know for a fact that one particular Armor Games Moderator judges the games by their thumbnail picture (or 'game-atar' as I like to call it), so that means I already have one 'bigtime AG-er' admitting that the first impression of a game (and with that the entire idea I suggested) has a solid ground for further thought on the matter... =)

Now let's see who answers my knock on the door... =P

Last attempt to bump this thread to get the Carlie's or any other admin's attention... then I'll call it quits, since no other users are picking up the suggestion I made...
