Ok, I have gone back to dial up and I really think it's annoying. Here are a few examples why.

1. I can't play flash games.
2.

Woops sorry I accidentally pressed submit.

2.Pictures take 2 hours to load
3.I can only have one tab on at once
4.It lags like hell
5.When typing this all I can see is the T from typing and I'm already up to here.

Is there anyone that does have dial up here? I am sadly, very inpatient. I got to the point of seriously giving up the computer yesterday. I need help or something.

Almost no one here uses dial-up anymore. With cheap broadband these days, dial-up is an ancient relic of the past.

Dial up should be a crime. It's pathetically slow. I would go back to DSL or broadband.

Dial-up is...awful.
I had a school where they used dial-up once, and they had to increase the computer to 2 blocks instead of 1 so we could actually get something accomplished :P

Sadly, dial-up is the only choice for people who don't have enough money, or places where the infrastructure required is not there.

That is self-defeating.

Luckily I only have it for a week, but that means

1. No making Crush The Castle levels (I really want to get into the next one)

2. I can't get through the tournaments I'm in. (AND I'M UP TO THE FINALS)

You'll live through it. I had to go without internet entirely for around six months.

I still have crappy internet, but not dial up. I've got a really crappy broadband, and, looking at it right now, it's model 6100F. But I know how you feel about the letter thing. When I was still transitioning, I watched a lot of YouTube. But when I would search a video, I could only see the letter I last typed, excluding the suggestions for videos. I stopped watching much though, because some of the vids I like won't play unless I upgrade "To a more modern browser." Which means google chrome or something along that line(aka I have aol 9.0).

Are you talking about Netscape Navigator 9? Because you really need an upgrade if your using that. You can't blame the site, your browser must be horribly outdated.

That's the modem. What form of broadband do you have? What is your plan, and what is your ISP?

Well, ISPs use compression to improve speed but that still doesn't really make a difference.

Older dial-up speeds include 9.6, 14.4, 28.8 and 33.6 kilobits per second.

28.8

I used to have that. It was horrible. My mom just wouldn't get faster. I had to spend years on it. ;-;

I only got DSL about two and a half years ago.

That is a crazy thing to do. How do you expect any pages to load with a transfer rate of 2 kilobytes per second? My armatar alone is around 2kb on this page.
