I'm doing this school project on the "nature of fossils", but I don't understand what it is. Can anybody explain the nature of fossils? Hyperlinks to approved websites that describe the nature of fossils would be nice.

Why don't you use google? That thing can explain fossils better than all of us on AG combined. Plus it has pictures.

This link should get you started, and it was on Google, try that, and if not, try some more. Even try Yahoo Answers, that will provide some sort of answer.

the nature of fossils is that the minerals soak into the bones, and harden them making it last much much longer
