i know the online game is for money/advertising purposes, but i loved the random game box. it made it so much easier to play a game. i think you should add the random game box in again, if you agree, say YES (<< in bold) at the start then say why, if not say NO (<<in bold) and then explain why please =]
Most of the random games were crappy and low-rated, anyway (no offense to any game developers). AG definitely needs the extra money from web games, anyways.
I heard Carlie saying that the Random Game box was deleted because it wasn't used much. They're making a little more money now, for putting up that Web Game thing.
For some reason, the Random Game thing consistently used to find poor low rated games. If you can't find games, go here and work your way from Pages 1 to 65.
I used it and loved it, I've heard from many people who used it and loved it, and I don't know what Carlie is talking about.
It did not pick low-rated games any more often than anything else. I sometimes saw games from the popular list show up there, like Gemcraft. It's a great way to showcase games that people might never play otherwise.
And spam has nothing to do with it. So far, I haven't seen a whole lot of spam control anywhere, regardless of how popular a game is. If we did have a good system for keeping spam in check like NG, it could easily apply to things people don't play very often.
I am aware of the people who miss it and the reasons that they do. You should address this to someone who is in a position to remedy it. We all have heard that AG v3 is being worked on. Now I think it's very early in the developmental stages, too early to give suggestions. Maybe we could have another featured games thing in the new version of AG. Keep this in mind.
yes i liked it. when i was bored with the regular games on the main page, it was nice to be able to click on the random game, and give it a shot, even if it wasn't the BEST of the games... because i had played many of hte BEST games.
