Depends of the country that you live, for expample if you are latino, your name can be Louis or Carlos, if you are american, it can be John or Michael, and if you are chinese i dont know...

This thread is about the most common name known to man, not the most common name in each country. It's true that in English-speaking countries, John and Michael are very common. We're talking about the entire world, however, and the most common first name in the world is Muhammad, and that is an inarguable fact.
