Call me old fashioned but I love all the oldies. I have a gamecube hooked up and the Xbox 360 kinda just sits there unless desired, but the gamecube- always ready for action.

I wanna know if theirs any true gamers out there, and List your favorite classic games. Go as vintage as necessary. Pong on the Atari if you wanted. I miss the ol' Mario 64, Soul Calibur (originally on dreamcast), Final Fantasy VII, Crash Bandicoot, Metal Gear Solid on PS1-

I'll never get tired of those cheesy graphics and cheap story lines, 'cause with out those you wouldn't even have the awesome (or crummy) sequels of today, including the new systems like PS3, 360, or Wii.

I must say, I didn't have gamecube or Nintendo 64, but I had PS1 ( PSX ) .
And I played the original Metal Gear Solid. The game is extraordinary! Of course, the sequels are great too.
There are many good games for PSX such as Syphon Filter, Grand Turismo, MGS, Driver 2, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater etc.
Here is a thread for PSX best games.

I have an ancient Gamecube, and even though it's like, 8 years old, Super Mario Sunshine is still one of the craziest games I've ever played :P

Ok lets see:

Duke Nukem 3D, possibly my favorite game ever.
A pong knock-off from who knows when.
Starcraft.
I have a sega genesis with multiple sonic games, still looking for mortal kombat
I wish I had a super nintendo or nintendo 64.
Plus various games from around Duke Nukems time.

I love old video games, when the ideas were original and the graphics weren't the focus.

The original Command and Conquer is one game that I love. It launched the entire genre of RTS games. As for consoles, I've played with the PS1, SNES and the NES.

Crash Bandicoot

Naughty Dog's Crash Bandicoot games were awesome. When they stopped making 'em, they declined in quality.

Im kinda the same. I miss playing the old games like Super Mario. My favorite was the game where nintendo characters all came together and fought, Super Smash Bros and its sequels.gamecube was an awesome system in 2005 instead of getting the xbox360 i got a gamecube. Now having a Wii and Xbox360, i mostly play sequels.

Asteroids never gets old. You can play so many different versions of it and you'll still never get bored of it.

I'm a 360 gamer, but I enjoy tons of older games. My personal favorites are:

Super Mario Bros. 3

Doom (original, and Doom 2)

Duke Nukem 3d (It's time to kick a** and chew bubblegum, and I'm all outta gum...)

Shatterhand (on the NES; Undiscovered classic no one heard of, but it's fun as all hell)...

Still, I gotta say I prefer my 360. I love older games, don't get me wrong, but I've played them to the death and I've moved on already...

Yes! I also had sega, but that was 8-9 years ago. That was the beginning of gaming for me.

I got mine in 1992 for christmas. It was my first video game and I was only 2 years old. I still have the same system and it still works.
