I was playing Nob War of The Elves. I was writing a very long merit worthy comment on it, going mission 1-10 explaining them, pros an cons stuff, then going to an overview.
But when I pressed the 'submit' button, a strange thing happened, my comment didn't show up, I thought it would later, but to test that I went to a different game, played it and made a short 5 word comment. This comment popped up in the bottom about 5 seconds later, my merit worthy comment did not.
Is there a character limit with comments on games? And if so, why restrict it, poor people like me may not be able to know if they're hard work is there or not.
I did check the Nob War game again, after I played a different game, I went to see if the merit worthy comment was there, and guess what, the merit worthy comment wasn't.
there is no word limit, whenewer I made long merit worthy comment well...lets call it review, I always copy whole review before I press Submit, errors happens rarely, but they happen
Yes, I agree with S&S, this is interesting and weird. But as an user before me said, you shouldn't make comments for games for a merit. Although, it's a great reason to. :P
As far as I know, there is no character limit for game reviews. There is however a limit for profile comments. So I would guess that this was just some sort of random glitch :-\\
No, why? I have been busy with 'real life' stuff and therefor was less online, if that's what you mean...
Most of the time, your connection is to blame. And sometimes a site glitch. The solution which is one I use a lot, is to copy and paste to Wordpad, Notepad or any text editor. I've posted longer reviews than MrDayCee's, so the character limit shouldn't be a problem.
In short... I agree with this, the character limit is not a problem here... otherwise the site would present a warning or error message everytime you make a long post and that's never happened to me before!
If there WAS a limit, you'd think they'd tell you with a ___ remaining characters counter. Sorry I don't have time to do all my squigglies ((

Weird.. if it doesn't appear you just press ctrl+z and it'll come back..
Depends at what point you're leaving the particular page... to another website or to another page on the same website... this sometimes presents problems with the Ctrl+Z function! =P

Hmm... judging by the fact that your fourteen i think you might of made a bigger deal of this than it was.
i find it funny that someone with no merits can tell if something that he typed is, "merit worthy".
but addressing the topic 2bh i haven't had this issue with Firefox Ive never had to re-sign-in i don't know if its the browser or an add-on but i think its worth looking into.
