Hello, it's Justinian2012. Just wondering about everyone's thoughts on their favorite artist, whether it be a composer, a singer, an actor/actress, or author.

No, not all music, because "author" and "actress" and "actor" were included in the OP

My favorite band is Phish. Gotta love their epic 20 minute jams and awesome stage antics. PHISH SUMMER TOUR 2010 HERE I COME!

My favorite musical artist has to be Andrew Bird. Man, what a musical genius. He plays the violin and then loops what he played in the background of his guitar playing and singing. Really mellow awesome music, you guys should check it out.

My favorite artist is a composer/guitarist named Yngwie Malmsteen. He does Metal, a new genre he created called Neo Classical Metal Shred, and has actually composed a concerto for the Electric Guitar with a full orchestra. And all his songs kick ass.

FallenSky can't choose, for he knows so many genius of music...Here are a few of Fallen's favorite artists and the reason why.
-
--Chris Martin (Coldplay) for his voice
--Isaac Brock (Modest Mouse) for his lyrics and music
--Steven Wilson (Porcupine tree, Blackfield, No-man) for his voice, lyrics and the fact that he's almost a one man band, it's all the more impressive when you know that porcupine tree is actually a progressive band.
--Genesis before a trick of the tail <--that's a very important part, for every Genesis album following ''A trick of the tail'' is crappy due to the disband. Yes, Fallen's talking about old Genesis, not the one that made invisible touch and we can't dance and abacab and duke and...*sigh*...Does ''Supper's ready'' rings a bell? Anyone?
--Sting for his voice and versatility...and the fact that he actually plays bass while singing. Sting is one the best singers of all time.
*
As for the authors well...
FallenSky's favorite would be...hmmmm, the first one that come to his mind is Herman Hesse...
