Hello people,

I like the games that come with Armor Games and I would like to contribute to some of the games you present here. In particular my contribution would be in translating the game language in german. I had this idea when I tried out Arcuz, which is indeed translated poorly into german although I think the game itself is great!

I think that the developers are quite different people and you would communicate my suggestion to them. Of course I cannot spend my whole time for this voluntary job, but I would do my best to make it quick, when I have time and leasure for this. As a cool feature, perhaps some of the developers would like their games to be translated into turkish, also. So I am a native turkish living in germany and this would be possible also.

I cannot explain but as I started playing Arcuz the first part of the tutorial was in perfect german, I didn't play further to see if it deteriorates to the low level of german that is used in the introductory story. If the language should be throughout perfectly translated in the game than I ask myself why they translated the initial story that sloppy..

Hehe thank you Kirby, of course I woul contact the game developers before interferring with the code, besides, I wouldn't know how to interfere with the code, anyway. I cannot afford the development kit for adobe flash and I don't have the source code to interfere :-). I even don't know if it is translated into a sort of byte-code and if I am able to look into it in the browser, so don't worry.

Of course your advice with the Contact method is good and I'll try it. I think that the developers would give me the scripts of a game they want to be translated and I send them back the translations. I will also suggest to translate games into turkish, because I am a turk and I think this would add additional popularity to the games. Thank you for your post :-).

Jeez, so you're trilingual? That's a kind offer. I'll keep you in mind for games I want translated and maybe recommend you to other developers who are looking for translations.

How about you translate this post into both German and Turkish to show off your skills?

okay I'll do it right now Tharos. I'll translate your post first into german then into turkish, now:

Wow, du bist dreisprachig? Das ist ein nettes Angebot. Ich merk mir dich für Spiele, die ich übersetzt haben möchte und vielleicht schlage ich dich anderen Entwicklern vor, die auch nach Ãbersetzungen suchen.

Vay be, demek üç dil biliyorsun, öylemi? YaptıÄın öneri çok nazik. EÄer bir oyunun tercümesi gerekirse aklımdasin ve belki seni tercüme arayan baÅka oyun yaratıcılarına da önerebilirim.

thats the folks :-)

To really acknowledge the correctness of the translations for yourself find a german and a turk and show them only my translations and let them translate back :-)

Again: I would do translations in my spare time, so I would probably accept one game at a time and cannot forsee how long it would take. But perhaps some developers would offer some payment to me so that for me it pays off to spend some more time on this job. Thank you for your interest :-).

Oh I see, the special characters of both, the turkish and the german language, that are unknown to the character set of the browsers are shown as escaped sequences, for example üç

Hm I will post the translations with the approximations of the characters:

Wow, du bist dreisprachig? Das ist ein nettes Angebot. Ich merk mir dich fuer Spiele, die ich uebersetzt haben moechte und vielleicht schlage ich dich anderen Entwicklern vor, die auch nach Uebersetzungen suchen.

Vay be, demek uc dil biliyorsun, oylemi? Yaptigin oneri cok nazik. Eger bir oyunun tercumesi gerekirse aklimdasin ve belki seni tercume arayan baska oyun yaraticilarina da onerebilirim.

Es ist sehr schoen zu sehn, dass Du nicht das Google uebersetzungs programm benutzt hast, etwas was die meiste leute machen um etwas zu uebersetzen... es macht sehr viel fehler und ist sehr unzuverlaessig!

For the English users:

It's very nice to see that you haven't used the Google translation programm, something most people do to translate something... it makes a lot of failures and is very unreliable!

For turkish translation of my post, I refer to IlkerS again... =P

For turkish users:
Türk kullanicilar icin:

Google'in tercüme programini kullanmamis oldugunu görmek sevindirici bir sey, tercüme icin en cok bunu kullaniyorlar cogu kisiler... ki o cok yanlis yapiyor ve güvenilir degil.

translation done MrDayCee ;-)

Nee, aber im ernst: Warum soll ich Googles Ãbersetzungsprogramm benutzen, wenn ich es auch so kann? Vor allem ich habe IQ, Google nicht. :-) Natürliche Sprachen können auch nur von natürlichen Personen übersetzt werden!

now in english:

Frankly: Why should I use googles translation feature, if I am able to translate it myself? Particularly, I own some IQ that google doesn't have. :-) Natural languages will only be translated properly by real persons!

Türkcesi:

Dogruyu söylemektense: Nicin google'in tercüme programini kullanayim ben kendim tercümesini yapabiliyorsam? Benim belli bir IQ'um var google da hic olmayan. :-) Tabii diller tabii ki en iyi hakiki insanlar tarafindan tercüme edilebilirler.

Yeah, it is a bit annoying to lack many of the special characters, but considering that the site is rather... English speaking, we should not even use most of those special characters.
It does, however, make it must less fun to try and translate all the English to any other language.
It is pretty annoying to have to write out aa/ae/oe to write something remotely Danish > >
