On one hand, I get things like various sports in PE (Volleyball played wrong FTW!) and fun educational opportunities in Engineering (like Reverse-Engineering an Nerf Gun... I'm going to start creating the basic parts and documenting as little detail as I can get away with...), but at the same time I get the occasional annoying ******** who no-one can get along with (even me, and I can get along with most people), or the teacher who thinks that the best way to educate it to be as rude as possible and probably doesn't want to be there.
School rocks and sucks at nearly the same time.
Oh, and beastahayes, I would LOVE to see what classes you get, because where I go, Honors is basically just there for the title and doesn't change much, except that when Honors watches an educational movie about the Inca with a test everyone cheats on, regular gets to watch Ferris Beuller's Day Off!
School is awesome. At least from my perpective, I don't know how it is for you. We have about 45 Minutes worth of HW, but that't all done during our study halls, we still have recess and gym 2-3 days a week, which is still less than it should be. But to make up for that there is never a lull in sports you can go to. Football-Basketball-Track-Baseball-Cross Country, and multiple others.
Our school also puts money into academics, as it should. And our school has some of the highest marks in the state. So I'm happy with our school. Small towns rock. Just need them to get revenue.
School is fantastic. I like the information output, the teachers are well prepared, and actually feel sorry if they have to walk out on us. They are doing everything they can to teach us what we need to know for our exams, and give us plenty if references for further studies.
What I wouldn't give to go to a school like that.
I've explained before why my school sucks, so I'll make it brief.
I would enjoy school if i didnt have to do work at home. And if you werent taught so much useless information im gonna forget next year and never use in my life. huh...what the hell america!?
Wait to pass your A level or baccalauret (French one) or the equivalent then you'll be able to choose your path and it hopefully won't suck anymore. As for me, I'm quite bored by school actually and I'll love being in work placement, that's the only reason that makes me continue studies right now... anyway, after my second year of master of statitics and informatic for decision making I might do a thesis depending on my own motivation. It should be in information retrieval engine so I may give some help to AG, maybe...
Anyway it's cool to work in a domain you like and get paid for that but students have lots of advantages everywhere and everyone can't work in something he likes.
Sure the education is good but the actual enviorment sucks. Why can't we just put on a helmet that gives us all the infomation we need for our 12 years of education!?!? Then we could get buiessness jobs at the age of 5!
