The tavern is for topics + conversations without a proper category, but I mean c'mon, we've had a thread about gum recently, and another one that merely states "school sucks" and is all about the discussion of "how school sucks"
I suggest a section for all useless topics with useless responses when you don't have anything to do with your useless time.
A forum I frequent quite often has this section and it has completely eliminated the problem of topics needing to be locked because of...well...their lameness =P
Tavern = All the silly "useless" topics. If you want proper discussion or really good topics, make a thread on something you actually would find to be awesome to talk about. It is not because people put the silly topics there, that the Tavern is filled with it. It's because no one puts up anything else. It's what people want to reply to, want to read, and in cases, want to complain about. So it is a problem you can solve yourself.
