this is how it works the person above you suggest how a thousand poundsill change you...and then the you answer it and suggest anouther...

I think he is trying to say how 1,000 pounds(as in currency) would change you.

As in, would you kill somone for 1,000 pounds. Stuff like that. So it is like "What Would You do for a Klondike Bar?" but with roughly $2,000.
