Just something I have notcied around here. there is only a hand full or so of users using the ArmorGames Forums. Why? It doesn't seem like many people are innactive, I see many users posting on others comment boards, but why not here?
When I first played on my first account I didn't even know the Forums were there! Let alone know how wonderful with is, I try to post only in posts I feel interested in.
I quit most of the time due to boredom but come back after a month or two.
I agree, for the most part, that the community should be highlighted a bit more. Because yesterday it was dead here. It was really strange.
On the flipside, if our community becomes more apparent, will this bring in a lot of unwanted posters? Those that do not mesh with our tight-knit community?
You have to admit, we are a bit of anomaly when it comes to online forums. There is practically no flaming or trolling. The biggest problem is spam from time to time.

Happens every once in a while. When I'm on, it usually occurs for a while when everyone in the US is asleep, and occasionally for no obvious reason other times. Like a blind spot or something, it's a regular occurrence that isn't too pleasant.

Our entire community when you add everyone up together, is close, but isn't the tightest-knit community. As for newbies, they don't annoy much really. Those that do not mesh with this community, usually disappear or get chased off. Seriously.

Flaming and trolling occur from time to time. We had a resident troll for a while. He wasn't that irritating however. Spam is yes, our biggest problem. The easiest solution is more moderators but that won't work out properly without the right people for the job. I'd say most of the people seen or who once were sawn fit enough for a moderator position are either mods already, have left or have been banned. I believe that since members here are ever so vigilant when it comes to what they interpret as spam (could be spam) we don't have much of a problem right now.
The biggest incident I can remember was the Switchfoot ordeal. Damn...that stuff was a mess. I've never experienced someone that lied and manipulated people through the internet like that before.
Anyway, that is the point I am meaning to make. It is the vigilant attitudes of the members that really keeps it clean. Mods can't see everything. But with the right folks, we can.
What happened? I believe it must of been rather deceptive.
But with the right folks, we can.
Yes. If all the people that have ever been moderators here would go back to being moderators, we'd have more than enough. Too many.

It really should. I'm surprised by the amount of people who finally discover the forums and come along saying, "I never knew there were forums here for X months." I found the forums right off the bat. I can't see why others take months to find them.

I noticed the same thing. Really weird.
And another thing, as Kirby998 said,
They prefer earning points talking to their 'friends' over their profiles.
Great point out. It's true. Though you do get more ArmorPoints from commenting on someones message board, that doesn't mean being innactive on the forums. I mean, how else are you really gonna' meet people? From someone saying, "Great game." on a game? No, I don't think so.
But if we did have more users, then this community would be mroe branched out and I'm sure more and more accumulating threads, posts, and all new things would pop up. Not sure what, but I'm sure something.
