I have a report coming up (No I'm not asking for help) but I have gotten really interested in the fact that Roman gods are nearly the exact same as Greek gods except different names. For an example if you think about it, how similar is Zeus (the greek god) to Jupiter (the roman god)? Very similar, of course. The thing is though....

Does that make that form of...religion more plausible then Christianity and...any other religion?

Confusing isn't it? A religion that doesn't have much sense it somehow being more true then other religions. How? I don't know. Of course then again, it could be an issue of one....religion copying another.

No, I do not believe that makes a religion more plausible than another.

Is this really about Greco-Roman gods?

Yes it will soon. I got sidetracked while I was typing.

Since I just don't want to say....

And...go, because I need to ask a question to get it started.

...Guess this will go down in gutters....*waits*

There's a thread on Greek gods already. Now you need something to make this thread valid.

not entireley cause technacally jews, christians, muslems, and cathlolics all believe in the same god sooooo it makes the belief in one god more plausible or popular if thats youre logic

The roman gods are the greek gods, the only difference is that they aren't referred to by the same name.

There are actually a number of now obscure gods from early Roman times, before the Romans adopted Greek gods as their main ones. Many of those gods were later assimilated into the identities of other gods, or simply disappeared. One god who didn't have a Greek counterpart is Janus.

Cloacina - Roman God of Sewers Note that many of the earlier gods eventually merged into the identities of the adopted Greek gods and disappeared.

If you think about it, does any religion make sense?
