Lets start out simple.

I think the post count per user is very low, but we have over 200,000 dormant (0 Point) users so it doesn't surprise me. The topic thing did surprise me though. The replies per topic was good though. But keep in mind, this site has been here for almost 3 years or something like that. Keep posting and have fun.

I predict we break 1,000,000 post on... August 14th, 2010

Commentary.

AG is larger than Kong in terms of site traffic. Our community is considerably smaller than theirs, but we have more people visiting the site, playing games.

Of what? Comparisons?

I dunno.

The AG forums are about just as active as the Kongregate forums, as they both get about 24 post per topic. But Kongregate has probably been around longer, which is why it has 6 times as many users. But then again, according to Alexa AG is a little bit more popular than Kongregate.

You can't use those numbers to gauge activity accurately. After a few days of observation (primarily of Kong's OT) Kongregate has noticeably more active forums than we do, right now at least. Which is why Kongregate has more topics and posts than we do. Now this community used to be more active in its heyday, about 1 1/2 years ago.

Thank you Krizaz, you have motivated me to take up AG archiving.

Probably would if more people were active on AG forums.

Glad to help I suppose...

Exactly, the AG community is more of a off-site thing, it's not as big as it could be.

We need to make it a bit more obvious that there is an AG community, make it a true secondary option, put a large tab on the home page that links to the community, something to make this place more active.

I have noticed that when putting a topic on Kong, you get replies literally seconds after you post it. On AG, it can take 5 minutes to 5 hours.

You are wasting your time because no one is reading this...

Apparently a lot of people are

Huh? Where did this get said?

I don't have 1,337 posts

I got famous around 1,200-1,300 post.

I need to make another topic, I gave an idea, I just don't know how to compose it.

do you consider me famous Krizaz? lol.

Eh... Somewhat... You don't really make the groundbreaking post, or put too much depth into your post. Just being honest.

KnockoutSloth isn't being respected huh? Well you aren't really regular enough outside of the AMW. Trust me, if you get 1k posts you won't be tossed aside easily. That seems to happen.

^ I agree no topic gets 880 views without doing SOMETHING right lolz

Other sites get threads which easily surpass that number, solely because of the amount of actual forum activity is quite higher.

Since Krizaz hasn't updated the stats in two weeks, I've taken the liberty of compiling some stats. These are three hours old. Note that I rounded some numbers off so that figures don't match up exactly.

People sure love their forum games.

If this is messed up I'll get a mod to delete the post.

Bad math... Yeah, it's 30,000. Thanks Knight, I'll be doing the updates weekly on Excel from now on.

Crap, it never occurred to me that I should use a spreadsheet application. I have Open Office so I'll use Calc, no MS Office for me.

updates weekly

Hey that's what I'm gonna do.

So, we need about 30,000 more posts...

Aye, if we should believe Krizaz's numbers from the beginning of the thread, we gained around ten thousand posts in two weeks. Erm, I don't know what to make of that.

Only just scrapes ahead of the tavern though.

Yes, though it's quite obvious that people are committed to long running forum games, and page after page of role playing. C'mon, a low life RPG? One must notice that many threads of the FG section have a ton of pages to them.

That table was needlessly difficult to make, as I used Wordpad and took a screenshot of it. As for my calculator, well Google does that.

Unrelated, my fridge also broke so I was asleep for the past four hours.

I don't mind the improvised fiction RPG's, but it's all those stupid High-School RPG's, don't you know that High-School is a real place?!

Hey that's what I'm gonna do.

Hey, Thats what I'm gonna do too.

no MS Office

Doesn't that come with Windows? Mac also...

Thats rather high, there's no way that we get almost 1,000 post a day, it's plausible, but not really certain. Could have happened though.

As I said, Windows should come with Ms Office, Calc, Pinball... Ect...

No, as the company I'm borrowing this computer from finds it too expensive to buy MS Office licenses for every single computer it puts together. It is, and instead Open Office is put in. Open Office is quite good actually.

I know. There's probably something amiss with the numbers.

I know. Making an RPG about regular high school is boring. Might as well make it military high school or something. Nah, that'd be more boring. What if it was a high school.. got nothing really.

Hey, Thats what I'm gonna do too.

And me too. Was my idea.
