You already have notification on when people comment on your profile. See:

Get an email notification each time someone leaves a comment on your profile.
in your control panel.
On the other suggestion, I will point you at the last topic about that. It has been discussed, and since we have no idea how version 3 will be, and it won't get implemented into this one, I will lock this.
