Hm, I could probably not wittle it down to just three or four, since I love so many different bands, but some of my favorites are The Police, Led Zepplin, The Who, Pink Floyd, Golden Earring, Black Sabbath... and so on so forth. For the most part, I enjoy listening to almost all classic rock bands.
Personally, my favorite rock band of today is Linkin Park followed very closely by Lostprophets. But since I notice most of the people posting are classic rock fans, my favorite of that era has to be either Steve Miller Band or Led Zeppelin.
