jsut a thread to talk about some of the hardest games of all time and why you broke youire controller at it.
devil may cry 3 is deffinatly one of the hardest.
the japanese versions hard was the american versions normal and the dante must die difficulty made it impossible to make it even to the first boss fight.....
its like the only game to have had a recreation of it because the difficulty was toooo hard.
also battle toads was also hard.... i puched my friend in the face once when we were playing it
IM sorry but DMC 3 was pretty easy, but from what i keep hearing Super Gouls and Ghosts is the hardest game, havent played it but the hardest game ive played is Dead Space on Impossible and Ninja Gaiden
Oblivion IS easy. It's just WAY too long. I think it would have to be GTA IV. Bad mechanics for driving vehicles, flying helicopters*, and "driving" Nico (or Niko?) makes it a bad/hard game.
Diablo 2 is pretty hard on Hardcore and Obliv is quite solid on hard but the hardest game of all time is.... wait for it (drum roll)...
KINGPIN
Its a first person shooter from about 10 years back with music from cypruss hill.
"well Im a pretty seasoned shooter" I hear you cry
Ill explain.
The hardest difficulty is called "realistic" but nothing has ever been further from the truth.
You start with a lead bar. A couple of hits and your dead. Once, when I saved at every oppourtunity and actually got hold of a pistol, I shot one guy in the head around 40 times. 40... in... the... HEAD... wtf. Realistic huh?
Did I mention you die in a couple of hits, and thats before they have pistols, cos your fighting thugs with pipes, with a pipe.
Obliv is hard on hard, but with some time you become a god, Diablo on hardcore (especially on Hell difficulty) is hard, but if your carefull you can survive, and its all about the items. Kingpin on realistic, dont even bother, because you would have better luck punching a brick wall.
Dont believe me. Buy *cough cough* the game and try for yourself
disclamer - I am not held responsible for deaths related to realistic mode on Kingpin.
Far Cry 2 ... it's pretty hard for me. At the beggining it's very easy. But it gets harder after that. And the final fight from Prince of Persia 3 ... I never finished the game.
Agreed. I actually completed the escape level, The Hornet's Nest, on Veteran, but not Takedown. You just get destroyed over and over again, especially after you leave the first area and you're all alone. It's insane.
Also, Halo: CE on Legendary. extremely hard. Your weapons are like children's toys against the Covenant and the Flood, and theirs are like BFG 9000's. All of them. Well, maybe not Plasma Pistols (In the enemy's hands, that is).
That one game for the NES
Yeah, a lot of nintendo games were extremely hard:
Oblivion? not even at highest difficulty is it hard unless you try to ruin your acc by leveling up something like...idk, speechcraft to get harder npcs. that game, it's just a very pleasant time killer.
Ghosts and Goblins / Ghouls and Goblins are pretty hard...but they're always mentioned.
I'd have to say the hardest thing any person would try to beat on any game, ever...is me at SSBM. lololol, jk.
Culdcept Saga has some bs AI which makes story mode pretty hard even if you build an ammaculate deck.
Golden Axe 2 was a pain but i think i eventually beat it...
I don't remember if i ever beat Bard's Tale...or if it even had an ending...
I could never beat Shingen: The Ruler until i started cheating by resetting and starting at my last save whenever any bad events occured.
Idk, honestly, i wish there were more difficult strategy games around, at least for the 360. anyone got any suggestions? something like Civ Rev maybe? (only game i ever got all achievements on)
The hardest game of all time was the original donkey kong. Most people last less than a minute before using up all there lives. And once you get to level 5 and up you have to start dodging the springs and all that.
