My PS3 once broke due to over-heating, it sucked. Well, at least it only took a month till they gave me a new one.
But i'm sure you'll survive one month without playing Xbox, if not then you can always play on your computer.

My 360 got the red ring of death i had to sent it off to Germany to get fixed it took about a week and a half its been fine since.

Cool, hopefully mine will be fine afterwards. I hear if it happens a certain number of times, they send you a new xbox, but i'm not sure. Also, it's an Elite, and they are supposed to be less likely to break, but oh well, that's technology for you lol

While as some people know (I posted a topic) my 360 got the red ring of death as well. Well at first I simply got the one flashing light. So I did the overheating trick. That worked...for about a week. Then as I was playing MW1 I accidentally kicked over my Xbox and it ruined the CD. When I go to turn the Xbox back on to play something else...I got the red ring of death.

Oooh... That sucks doesn't it? I had a friend that got that and he didn't have his for a long time.

well, many. PC, once i had to bring it in, stupid A**HOLES didnt give it back to us for 3 months! eventually we got it back, and a week after it broke again. soo, we sent it to another place who fixed it in 2 days -.-'
then, well the pc wasnt starting and i restarted it, then i got the blue screen of death (thats for PC) so i tried rebooting, but it kept coming back, so had to bring it in for another 2 weeks.
then, it kept saying windows explorer.exe stopped working, restarted it, etc. then i read about what to do and MILLIONS of people had the same problem. brought it in for another 3.5 weeks.
then i was playing runescape, lol, yes :P, and i had a sucky graphics card so i tried putting it on better graphics and, guess what, it crashed... another 3 weeks. but i got a new graphics card.

My xbox got the rrod half a year ago. I didn't want to bother with sending it in, so I just opened it up and stuck some pennies on the back (a makeshift heat sink, in case you're wondering). And yes, it is still working fine.

But then the disc reader thing broke last month. Can't send it in because I voided the warranty, and I'm too lazy/broke to buy a new dvd drive and replace it. So now I just use my xbox to watch netflix and play arcade games.

That's when i got mine, but on the plus side, i won mine in a competition, so it's not that bad that it's broken considering it was free.

ok if you dont play it 12 hours a day u wont have this problem!!!!! gosh i play my ps3 maybe 3 hours a day and then i need to take a rest!!!

I don't play it that much, and the amount of time you play it doesn't affect whether it breaks or not anyway. It can overheat, but thats not what happened to me.

when i was a kid. i had a gameboy and it broke [R wont work].
Now a PSP and it broke too [LED screen is black].
And another PSP and it also broke [ Analog wont work and when they check it, its really broken]
