When I saw the thread title, I thought it was a contest for worst movie of 2009/2010 (not going to bother looking up release dates).
I am personally ashamed to have seen both these movies.
...G I Joe was at least bad in a slightly funny way. I mean, they destroyed the underwater city by sinking a FLOATING ice cap. I actually laughed in the theater.
They weren't bad but I thought Avatar was very overrated. It was a well put together movie but the whole touching story didn't really "touch" me. Yeah, the graphics were pretty darn good but I failed to bring my glasses to the movies thus resulting in me not being able to fully enjoy them. And 2 hours and 42 minutes is a little too long for my attention span. And as for G.I. Joe. Its your average action/save the world/get the chick movie.
well personally i dont like avatar at all it was just very bland no real originality to it what so ever the only thing that was good was the picture which i was impressed by it but i just do not see why people would even kill them selves over this movie it was just bland so gi joe is the lesser of 2 evils
well avatar was a captivating movie thats why. i dont think it deserved to win best picture which is why the hurt locker won. but it was just a good experience and changed the way i thought about 3d movies. it was good and kept me looking in amazment and i thought the story line was fairly good. the acting on the human side was fairly poor but over all id give it a 9/10
the reason i liked Avatar more, was that i like Sci-fi movies better, like, finding a new planet. G-i Joe just, did not really capture my interest, it was kinda.... bad? Well, this does not matter, cuz Transformers eclipses all of these movies! xD
I thought GI-JOE might actually be pretty good if i didnt take it seriously i didnt and it was still awful i could right a better script (seriously). Avatar was pretty good but it was far too hyped and overrated it didnt deserve all those oscars but it was the best out of these movies so i vote avatar.
