I think most of us are going to hell, according to what I have studyed in school, it's like all who are violating any of god's Commandments by purposely (even only onice) they go directly to Hell when they die, If you have light sins you go to purgatory where if somebody prais for you you go to Heaven, And you go directly to Heaven only if you have NO sins...Ok, if I die right now when I'm writing this I would go to Hell :/ only way to clear all your sins is to go to confession, but think about it for a moment, if you die in any car accident (or something similat) and you broke ANY Commandment of god you go to hell...

God's Commandments

1. You shall have no other gods before Me.
2. You shall not make unto thee any graven image.
3. You shall not take the name of the Lord God in vain.
4. Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy.
5. Honour your father and your mother.
6. You shall not murder.
7. You shall not commit adultery.
8. You shall not steal.
9. You shall not bear false witness.
10. You shall not covet.

I dunno if this thread is over. We all are entitled to our own beliefs. Believe what you may.

i really dont know my religion... i was recently a mormon... but, i went to church almost every weekend, and im starting to think i dont believe in god... and i dont know how my family will react if i say that to them! :\\\\ im kinda scared... but, i agree with Highfire in most of wat he says...

Seeing as you're 14, they will very likely react badly. Now is the time to do some soul searching I believe.

In response to the OP directly.

The 'idea' that we have to go to confession if we want to not go to hell is an odd flaw of the Catholic Church. It should not matter whether we are going to tell a Priest what we have done wrong when the one who really forgives us is Jesus...

So basically, if you repent and confess your sins to Jesus then you are forgiven...

I have to agree. I really don't see why one must confess to a priest.

For nearly all of us, there's at least one thing which would cause much shame and embarrassment, if revealed to others.

everyone is worried about going to hell well you should be worried about what's happening with your life right now and surely you can choose from wrong and right and not sin and repent for your wrongs

I'm agnostic. Borderline atheist, but I do believe something is there. But overall, I don't care. I'll find out in the eternal blackness or the eternal fires. Heaven doesn't seem like a place where I could have much fun anyways.

Religion to me just seems like something that makes us get over our innate fear of dying by putting something fairly illogical in death's place. Hence, heaven.

Though masturbation itself is entirely not a sin (from biblical references) lusting towards someone while doing it is, it's basically in the same category as stalking or not leaving someone or someone Else's wife alone because of your own love and sexual desires towards her.

Other then that, masturbation not being a sin isn't set in stone in the Christian religion, some say it's ok (The majority of Protestants) and some don't (Mormons and Catholics).

hmm...what about 7th god's commandment, isn't that masturbation?

if the world was started by two people... we would all be retarded.

if you have children with family there is a much greater chance of them being messed up
