It's 2075, and much chaos occurred. Rebels launched nuclear bombs across the world and it lay in ruins, and only a handful of people are left. You and a band of stragglers are among the survivors.

The rules are simple: First, create your character, including the amount of stragglers you have with you (ranging from 15-150). You are the leader of these people and you call the shots, but I decide the outcome. For example, if you decide to attack another group of people, I can decide that your attacking party gets lost and dies, gets there and is defeated, or gets there and conquers. Also, when calling the shots, nothing too radical, no memes, and definitely no Chuck Norris. Build your empire and conquer others. Here, I'll start, but this is only an example, I won't be playing:

Name: Jason Kazzant
Age: 27
Number of Stragglers: 74
Specialization: Logistics
Health: 700,000/720,000
Protectors: 12
Number of Soldiers In Group: 40
Workers In Group: 15
Children In Group: 7

We were on a training exersize in one of our commrades survivalist bases deep in the Issyk Kul Biosphere Reserve, We left two days ago, our predictions are that both russia to the north of us and iran, iraq to the south west of us and afganistan and pakistan to the south of us are all going to be radiatio no go areas due to their extreamist political escilation both past and present, we know its not safe in the town as all the locals are scared and starting to worry about food, there are gangs raping and pillaging all around fortunately their not well organised and arnt giving us any trouble, probably because we're all in army fatigues with various coloured mohawks! we've decided to go back to Janeks base at the bio reserve as we know he has giga counters, radios, weapons, lots of food stored, maps and hopefully almost 100 survivalists still there, its about a days walk, the roads are too dangerous to take our truck, we'll leave it hidden here in the woods just incase we need to move out later. hopefully with janeks help we can get a decent plan together, this is what we've been waiting for almost hoping for for years but now the apocalypse is finally here I have to admit I'm nervous, the rest of the gang look well up for any eventuality though even the kid! its 7.18am local time we're moving out now, i'd have prefered to wait for night fall but we need to get moving now, this towns more dangerous than the trail down to the reserve will be, lets move out!

Specifically, what structures are you building for your base camp?

a command center, a makeshift hospital, and a gun training place

Echilda... let me get 3 things straight:

1) Issyk Kul dried up in this game, so there can be no Issyk Kul Biosphere Reserve.

2) Currently, the only people the players control and have any influence of existence is yourself. I decide the fate of your underlings and other neutral/hostile units. This means I'm doing away with much of your details.

3) It's completely an unfair advantage to have an entire base waiting for you, stocked with complete survival supplies while everyone else is fighting for existence. I'm doing away with the entire base.

Please, don't do this again. No base, no village.

? but bishkek is a thriving town/city with over 300hotels, it has 2 airports one civilian and one both civilian and military, the biosphere is part of an 80mile long 30mile wide lake, which since the 80s has had ex soviet training ground on it (which could easily now be my anarchist base) it definately wouldnt be dried up! you put me in this location i'm just using it to the best of my advantage, there wouldnt be nobody here, the lake certainly wouldnt be dried up, while we're on the subject of accuraces the ammount os tsunammis and earthquakes that have come from your nuclear war is a bit odd and theres been no talk of radiation. if the lakes dried up and thees no people here how and why are me and my group here then?

Realism isn't a major factor of this game. I add in these extra features to add to the thrill. What's happening currently has almost zero influence in this game.

The only influence current events have on the game is the location of structures. That is all.

well you could have keept it in character/the game flowing, just said when i arrived all that was left of the base was a few stores and a broken radio or something, rather than step out and make it weird.? what shall i do now start again? confused never played a game which just stops and starts like this, need to flow!

So think of the game like this: You're in a post-nuked world and there are only a handful of survivors. This game DOES flow, it works in real time and nothing stops. That lecture I gave you, it was administered in compliance. I have complete control of any neutral or hostile units outside of anybody's group exists. You are making the most out of the nameless rubble surrounding you. You have to be resourceful to survive and conquer.

ah think i'm gunna leave it actually, dosnt seem very good, could be if you put a bit more effort and research in, but i'm not going to get into a long term text rpg when theres no scope, goodluck, if you decide to do a more indepth game let me know as I love post apocalyptic survival stuff!

Health: 720,000/720,000
Protectors: 30
Number of Soldiers In Group: 14

Sick People:5

Send out a few workers and protectors to scout for survivors and usefull items and recources. Mainly keep an eye out for something which could be used to build a transmitter with.

PS: Bunny, maybe its an idea to add Base health once you've got one? For example, when raiders assault you, or a war. And that you can upgrade your place to increase HP etc.

@ Bunny: you didn't answer my last post :P

@: Tru, I think you're still welcome to join, just fill in the sheet in the first post.

@TRU: No it's not too late. Fill out the sheet and I'll assign you a starting area.

@Healmeal: Sorry, I @'d the wrong person.

Here was my response:

Health is only intended to be something only group leaders have. It's literally the measure between still playing and game over. You, the group leader, is the most powerful unit of the group. The rest of the group is basically just backup. Plus it would be too much trouble to scale every group's health to the amount of units they have.

Related to the game:

@Healmeal: The search has turned up 2 neutral survivors, both adults. They take your side, so you can assign them as a protector, soldier, worker, or doctor. Also, they recover a slightly (aesthetically) damaged transmitter, but it's fully functional.

The stragglers equal the sum of the units you have, so the stragglers you have would be 90.

Update your card, and you're in the game. You're starting area assignment is Lo Wu, Closed Frontier Zone, China.
