What do you think the most hardcore American looking gun is?


Like the Barett 50cal, M16, M4 car., etc.


I have to go with the Barett 50 cal.

That's the "new" American gun. Now, for us history geeks it doesn't get much more American than this John Wayne centennial beauty .

That gun's awesome, especially seeing how it's a variant of such an old weapon.

For some reason, I just don't see some of the more modern weapons as being "hardcore American", though they are American.

you guys need to re-read the question being presented in the title. It does not ask specifically for AMERICAN guns...it is asking for AMERICAN LOOKING i'm assuming the creator of this post most likely meant: "What do you think is the most hardcore looking American gun is?"

but that is not what is asked. So, in this case any gun would be "american looking" i suppose.

Also, you all are naïve due to the fact of how easily you are influenced by video games such as COD. If asked to name a gun, you would probably most likely say your favorite gun to use in game, knowing little about them besides that they are strong in the game. This fact is supported throughout this thread. End of discussion.

Moving on, since this is asking most hardcore American LOOKING gun is, i would quite possibly have to say:
Not sure where they are at atm with this gun but the Metal Storm Variable Lethality Law Enforcement Pistol (what a mouth full) looks to be the most badash gun ever...it has the world record for fastest firing ballistics weapon...Firing 3 rounds in 1/500th of a second...dont believe me look it up, and argue with me...

I'm sure there is no gun named the "AK-71". The AK guns aren't American and aren't American looking. They have a distinct Russian look to them.

All the AK guns are Soviet/Russian. AK means Avtomat Kalashnikova.

Yep. They most definitely are not American. Heck, they're famous for being used by enemies of the Western world.

The funny thing is that these guns are so famous that are part of the western culture, so many think that are American.
