Anyone have strategies for this one? I can get to game levels 9-10 and that's all she wrote. I've been going back and trying to up my skills by replaying earlier levels, hoping this will get me past the ones I can't beat.
I believed for a while that the crypt thing was the best thing to do, max level crypts do decent damage, but fire really slow, I found that fully upgraded ogre huts are better, the catapults do splash damage, and a lot of it, so a couple of those on a map is a sure win usually, except if you get the rogue champion, of course! So if you put a lot of points, literally all your points into that tree, you get easy money from cutting down forest, and can upgrade sooner, try it out!
What I did was use crypts for all my highland positions but used the skill points to initially increase gold (Den skills). Also if you haven't done so, increase you mana and decrease spell costs. There is one skill point that gives money for cutting down trees and if you have a bunch of mana - boom - more money.
get "adoration" from the demon tree which gives mana when you build temples, pump up "cut down mastery" and "cut down study" and you have a cycle of more temples and more mana, game in pretty much every level.
