You will see in this thread someone reviving this thread with a non-spam comment and it being dubbed a necro.
Yet here there is a mod encouraging reviving old threads.
I know there could have been a mod who deleted the spam comment necro'ing the first thread, but the next post after the visible first one is an hour old.
<mods aren't always on> I know that.
< boo hoo, we always make someone mad because that's what modding is.> What does that have to do with something contradicting? Get over yourself.
On the quote-thread: You shouldn't revive it. Quote-threads are more often than not just c/p spam, even if someone reminds others to give an explanation. People won't listen. On the Rugby-Soccer-thread: Sometimes it is just better to make a new thread. Or in this case, considering it is a "one or another"-kind of thread, it will most likely end in spam as well. And it being as old as it was, it doesn't really matter. It would be like reviving a "Do you like candy?"-thread with a good post (or having one or two make a good post). It won't take long before someone is going to say "I love candy", "yes." "CANDY!" or something similar. And after that, someone is going to say "This should be locked", and someone will agree. Someone will note that it is a necro, and that it should be locked. Basically, the light bulb will work, then go out, someone will note it is broken, someone will note it had to happen, and everyone would pretend saying it would matter. Of course, as always, if you have a problem with how a mod or mods in genral behave, you can always complain to Carlie, or go ask a mod to unlock it, because it was revived, not necroed, or because it was ttly relevant, or something. This is like the merit-trouble. Sorry we are not bots.
