I just wanted to bring up recognition to games that were ahead of their time at the time and were thought to be revolutionary. It seems most of the threads are about current or the hottest games.
Anyone want to give some praise to "forgotten", "unheard of", or "unforgettable" games?
>> FF7 is a cult game Elaborate? I'm not sure I understand.
Well, I can't really develop more satsu, you know how they say Ocarina of time is a cult game, well this is about the same. Hailed as one of the best games ever by critics AND players worldwide, along with one of Square's highest sale number at that time, I think it's fair to say that it's ''cult''...Besides, anyone calling himself a gamer has necessarily heard of it...
The first Command and Conquer games (like Red Alert1 and Tiberium Dawn) are nearly forgotten and they just dont deserve this when i go in the online world wide servers and there are only 30 people online it makes me really sad beacause this were really good RTS games openig the way for generations of RTS games .
PS: CnC Tiberium Dawn , CnC Red Alert1 and CnC Tiberium Sun are now freeware
Okay scratch the megaman all new ones seem to be a flop, i guess theres nothing like the original. And command and conquer used to be a game a played for countless hours, mainly because i was pretty young and couldn't beat it.
As for another game that need rep, i would like to bring attention to is a fairly new one that i really want more of Read faction Guerrilla. In my eyes it brought the concept of a destructible environment and was a great game.
Definatly the Mario & Luigi Series. I remember playing them when I was about 5 or 6 years old and I would beat one of the games about once a week and had a full set of all the games.
Pong-First video game that has now lead to the rise of video games. Best game of all time
Haha I don't remember Pong but I've played versions of it on the internet, was a boring game but fun in a way. And it did lead to the rise of videogames so it is probably the most important.
