Can someone tell me or randomly speculate on why some "News" channels have things that are anything but news. I mean like some wacky celebrity crashes a car is not news people crash cars everyday. Something like this = news. This =/= news.
It could easily be about Fox news but I think every mainstream news sources news values are those of entertainment and not actual information or they just use information as entertainment, For example in my country there is a new coalition government and the 2 leaders are portrayed as a couple and not the men who lead my countrys governent, the mainstream news have honestly turned modern british politics into a bad love story.
Whoever wrote that American Idol article is an idiot.
Anyways, news is entertainment. And since anything that's news and entertaining happens to be death and destruction, something that is in short supply nowadays, you're left with this.
