India has over a billion people too. In 2001 India had a population of 1,028,610,328 people. Now they estimate that the Indian population is 1,181,432,000 people.
I think both countries should try to do something about their population im mean if it keeps growing at the rate it is theres going to be a huge problem in the upcoming years.
Considering the US of A has a little over 3 million people and China has 2 billion, I thiiink they have a lot more ahead of us. It's like comparing a lake to an ocean. Biiiig difference. DOES India have a population law? China's still worse since they have 2x more people with a little bit wider land mass. And even then, they have mountains that aren't habitable. How does India fare though? I'm looking at a terrain map right now, and only the outside borders of it are flat. Is this the only farmable place? We gotta know these things if we wanna know who's worse off than the other.
The same rules as China: If you look at a population map of China, you will see almost everyone lives near the coast, especially near Shanghai. When so many people are crowded together, it makes pairing easier.
But since China has regulations these days (I believe one child per family, else you lose government benefits), the increase in population has pretty much dropped.
The same applies to India: Most people live near the coast and a fertile strip in the north. And because India doesn't really have birth regulations yet (I think so, not sure), the population goes up.
CHN:IND">This might interest you. And this. It shows that the fastest growing country population is Liberia. China is somewhere in close to 150 actually, and India only 90. These days the fastest growing populations are in Africa, and the States/Europe and most of Asia are actually pretty slow.
If china gets the most population what city in it is gonna get the most people.

I believe Ulimited answered that. From what I've seen, the expected year will be around 2030.
China's population will stabilize, while India's is predicted to keep on rising. China's family planning policies have worked well to restrict population growth.
