Hm... maybe we can set this on our control panel then, so maybe it will say something like "I need to approve friends" or something and we have to say yes or no.
I know. When noobs comment me that i don't even know, I notice that he has already added me.
Signatures would be great the friends list is a must, and Graham showed us we can't have a chat room but a private messaging system might work, might not.
First of all, sigs are annoying and they make the site lag. Second of all, why can't you people just be happy with having your armatar and your name as a sig? Everybody knows who you are from that.
the friends list is a must,
That one is a great idea.
a private messaging system might work,
I'd say it would work fine. I wonder if there would be AP for it though...not that it really matters.
Unless of course, the mods were able to see it. Everybody knows that the Messenger is abused and spammed already. That's why I always wondered why using the Messenger earned more points than posting in the forums...
Signatures would not be great. It spams up forums, it makes them really complicated, and people make them huge and super flashy, which lags, and throws off attention from the post. Unless it was like this: "-201" or "-Dan" or "-2014631" (stop me before I get carried away), then it's not really gonna work. If it had to be under a certain amount of font size, only black color ink, and it had a character limit, then I say go for it, but no styles and giant signatures.
As for private messaging, unneeded, a waste of time, and that's what AIM is for. What is so secret it requires private messaging? You can't take five minutes to set up an AIM account and 16MB of hard drive space. That, and it's easier than AG. For real.
