Horatio Alger Myth.

Is anyone here familiar with the story themes of this gentlemen? He originally wrote his themes in children books during the late 1800's. Today, they are still studied. Some even believe the myth to be real. It certainly applies to many different films, plays, even short stories. Many may remember Sylvester Stallone's first movie? Rocky? The whole movie was based of off Horatio Alger's story themes.

Anyone hold true belief's in this myth?
