A game's recent-ness, rating, play count and reception are what decide whether or not it gets put in there.

Sonny gets a spot for Sonny 2, if people want to play sonny there is an ingame link to 1. Also gemcraft, if you play the one up there, then you know about the gemcraft series. ( and crush the castle too - they don't need more than one spot)

Colony was on there with a 8.9 rating. I think it's when there's a bunch of games that are being rated very high, but they're new....ish. :/ maybe it's just what people are playing the most at once...
