Kratos, simply because of his attitude. Dante doesn't give a **** about anything but his girl, he has a "love" reason, kind of soft and at this point, a serious weakness.
Kratos is in it for the revenge. He wants to mop down a GOD no matter what, he's got his enemies mother onto him, and he doesn't care (at all) about the lives of others given it helps him extract revenge from the God of God's soul.
But yeah, they're potentially the same thing except different story line. That's how close they are to eachother (except Dante's Inferno is on Xbox 360 and God of War is PS3). And each are awesome as they also follow different myths. One is hell, one is Greek Gods.
