Advertisments are delivered to you according to a few factors. Some would include your country, browsing habits, search terms etc.

AdBlocker comes in handy and it's on Firefox and Chrome.

I've seen those odd cigarette and Evony adverts here.

I know that on Gmail the ads are concered to the text that you wrote.

Didn't know about other places.

It's all atomatic and no person really reads what you wrote so don't worry.

Well, at least 90% of Google's revenue comes from those ads, so I really don't see the point in complaining about something that I rarely even notice when it contributes to the use of a free service.

As for the question of if you have a problem, I wouldn't say so, that's pretty much the definition of normal for most people nowadays.

I use firefox so I don't get ads but when I used to use Explorer I'd get ads for weight loss. -.-

Yeah, the adverts you talk of may be weird but they're ubiquitous and quite common. At least AG doesn't have pornographic advertisements.

It's Chrome's version of the Firefox add-on.
