Do you like hardcore rap or the more melodic kind of rap for example Jay-Z would be a hardcore rapper and akon is the more melodic kind of rapper. (the melodic version of rap is the one that sounds more like soft rock)

most rap thats ACTUAL rap is what the AG community would "hardcore" rap. i like jay-z's black album, i like eminem, i like Dblock, i like th4 flobots, i like durrough, i like kanye wests music, i like the beastie boys, ludacris is a real MC, 50 cent is good at freestyling, lilwayne is good at freestyling, souljaboy is good at freestyling, the joker is good at freestyling, kid cudi is one of my favorites, Knaan is always a beast, lupe fiasco is good, outkast is good, T.I. can rap alright, Wale is a beast.
lol i knew he wasnt a rapper though seriously he just sings like the type of music i was trying to explain cause i couldnt think of any rappers that do what i was trying to suggest but then again i dont really listen to rap anyway so i wouldnt know
well any rapper that sings isnt a rapper. thats why drake is weird because he can do both kinda.... drake is really good though also and i dont know why i didnt put him on my list above
