Welcome, people to how-to-survive! This thread is about you surviving in a scenario, it could be stranded on an island, or things like a zombie outbreak.
First of all, I would like to say that THIS IS NOT A RPG GAME! This is something like " what would you do if you were there? " Although it is like a game, we will be talking more on survival tips.
Join by filling out this simple sheet. It's short, fun and easy and you get will track of your achievements.
Name: Gender: SP: Rank:
SP: SP stands for survival points. You get survival points for doing certain things, most common is 'surviving' and you 'survive' by escaping an island for example. Sometimes in a scenario explained later, there are 'challenges'. A scenario writer can decide what challenge he/she wants, but I will be the one to write how many points you will get.
Rank: Rank is something like armorgames' 'wood serf' and such, Just with another name.
Rank List-More will be up soon.... Name Points Stupid 0 points Not-so-stupid 5 points Newbie 10 points Not-so-Newbie 20 points Breathing 50 points Living 75 points Breathing and leaving 100 points
Terms
Scenario- This is a term for a situation that is meant to test a member. These is of all means non-linear, since we need the user to think for himself. Any MEMBER can make a scenario.
There are two types of scenario.
Accidental/more realistic scenarios These are scenarios like being stranded on an island, or a Global Thermonuclear war taking place. Unlike 'mythical scenarios', your items are not handed over from scenarios to scenarios.
Mythical scenarios These are scenarios like zombie outbreaks and Alien invasions. Although I believe that these can happen, I entitiled it Mythical, since I coulnd't think of any other name. Unlike 'Accidental/ more realistic scenarios' Mythical scenarios are more or less generally matched with a previous story/situation that is of the same kind (zombie-zombie, aliens-aliens, mutants-mutants) So you get the supplies you had on the previous scenarios. There are of couse supplies you find in the scenario. There's also generally a map that goes with the scenario, and the writer is responsible for making one.
Scenario writer A scenario writer is somebody that writes scenarios(duh!) To write a scenario you must be a member and play long enough for me to notice and appoint you. Be sure you have good grammar in english, and is willing to give time. If you write a scenario, remember to write what the scenario type is. Be very specific, and do not do things that are very stupid. Also, make a list of challenges to make it more exciting (read challenges section for more details)
If it is a 'accidental scenario' be sure to write the items that you can get( on the landing place ), and make a map IF and only IF the scenario gives you a map. For example being stranded on an island due to an airplane crashing would be most likely you have no maps.
If it is a 'mythical scenario' then be sure to remember that items are handed over from scenarios to scenarios. This could dramatically change your scenario, for example, There is a building and a window two stories up. If you don't want the player to go there, then make sure you have a backup plan, since perhaps the user has a ladder from the previous scenarios.
Challenges Challenges are secondary objectives player can do. It will give extra points. Note that I will be the one to decide how many extra points you get for each objective done.
Scenario status There are scenario status, they tell if a scenario is still open or closed. These would make things more fair for users, since when other players have finished a scenario, they know how to survive in that scenario.
Staff? Well, I don't know, but if this is succesful, I would like to have some staff that would help me.
Scenario writers- Writes scenarios(duh again) Thread Moderator- These are tough guys that would be reviewing this from time to time. They would be warning you if you do something stupid. Vice- If this gets very, very succesful, then he would be like me, doing everything.
Extra note: --I would have loved to place this to the tavern since I see lots of survival threads there, only more smaller. If we could get enough players, perhaps mod will place this there? --Always and always remember this is not a game. You could start a chat with other users, in how to survive a certain thing. For example, a mirror can reflect light which can be used to signal search planes. For another example in a rainforest, you can get fresh water from bamboo, by bending it down, tie it, put a container at the bottom get it overnight, and boil before drinking (this could extremely help in the first scenario
First scenario- more realistic scenario
Being a gym instructor, you were instructed by an English man to go to England. From the United States, the plane you were riding crashed. Everybody is dead, The radio is out, and you landed on a deserted island, everything around was salt water, and it is a rain forest. There is nothing of specific in the plane, just the normal plane items(metal bars, chairs) Tell me what you will do for the first two days
Name:John Gender:Male SP:0 Rank:Stupid Gear:Week's worth of Banana's, Sharp St, 2 weeks worth of fish. Day 8 I look for some Flint and and wood and grass. If i find Flint i will use it to make fires with the Metal using the wood and grass. I will also use my Stick to hold the fish over the fire to cook it and if juice falls i will drink what i get.
Pretty much the result was what you were expecting. Ohhh One drop, just one drop. You drinked it.
Day 9 I search the plane for anymore supplies.(Water bottles, canned food, wep. ext.)
The only thing you got was wallets, with money. There were nothing else.
Wait look, you saw an airplane, perhaps a search party? What will you do?
Note: I can't read your answer on the fablestarknight, I don't know why. Can you re-post
Name:John Gender:Male SP:0 Rank:Stupid Gear:Week's worth of Banana's, Sharp St, 2 weeks worth of fish
Day 9 You drinked your blood, and attacked a big animal. You were horned. Good thing you were still alive.... Tip: Perhaps you need some strength first.
Day 10 The fishes started to rot! You boiled water and you got water enough for two days.
You have some spears, which can be used for hunting fish. Can you reprase the few last lines. I do not know what a lean is :P Its a lean to, two words. It is a shelter built out of sticks and leaves pushed up against a tree.
Name:John Gender:Male SP:0 Rank:Stupid Day 11 me throw away the fish and me go and do push up's or pull ups off a stong stick on a tree. Day 12 Me try to find a piece of sharp metal
Result- you found metal from the plane, and sharpened it.
Day 5: Get some wood, strong vines, mud (for cement) and start working on a house.
Day 6: Put my ear to the jungle floor and try to listen to the ground for a current (underground water) then follow it. If I find none mould a bowl out of mud and sticks/start a fire with two rocks/fill the bowl with saltwater/put the bowl over the fire to disintergrate the salt/go looking for bugs to eat while the salt is disintegrating.
Result:Well, this is the day you die. Not drinking water, you dried from thirst, and you have failed scenario one.
But do not falter! The second scenario will be out soon, and its theme is zombie apocalypse.

Result: No water source found, but the saltwater-to-fresh water conversion worked out perfectly.
Day 7: Search for coconuts, and other fruits/begetables/and small animals to eat and store what I don't eat in my house. For the whole day.
Day 8: Put my ear to the jungle floor and try to listen to the ground for a current (underground water) then follow it. If I find none mould a bowl out of mud and sticks/start a fire with two rocks/fill the bowl with saltwater/put the bowl over the fire to disintergrate the salt/go looking for bugs to eat while the salt is disintegrating.
Day 9: Make my house stronger by adding more bamboo branches and vines to make it more durable in case of a storm. And start making multiple axes (in case the first one breaks) from a long piece of wood/a sharp stone and vines to tie it together.
Day 10: Start chopping down trees, and looking for strong materials for a new boat.
Day 7: Search for coconuts, and other fruits/begetables/and small animals to eat and store what I don't eat in my house. For the whole day.
Result: You are saved in the seventh day, by a passing rescue chopper. You were seen through the mirror you placed.
+5 points!
Okay There are now two scenarios active! First Scenario: Island
Second Scenario: Please give a description of your house, like how many floors it has, and the windows. Also, tell how many, and where the doors are. Then Tell of the weapons you have at your house. Finally, tell me what are the food in your refrigerator, food stock. This scenario is a zombie outbreak one, so I need to have an idea of your house(since it happens in your house).
Windows: Eight on every floor excluding the basement. Two SMALL windows on every side of the house.
Weapons: Baseball bat, small rifle with 100 shots in it (because pre-zombie outbreak I was a hunter). One revolver with eight bullets incase of a burglary pre-zombie outbreak, crowbar, hammer, nail gun.
House set up: Kitchen, living room, storage area for first floor. Bedrooms, closet, and restroom for second floor. Basement has alot of canned food.
Refridgerator + Freezer: Milk, juice, apples, carrots, bannanas on counter, beans, corn, meat (chicken, steak and deer), leftover spaghetti, cherries, pop, cucumber, peanut butter, and bread.
