because of the radaition and i assume cockroachs have a special adaption that makes them able to survive the radiation plus theres a chance that people could turn into zombies to O_o

Quite easily really. Calculate the spread of nuclear fallout and how much of it would be in my vicinity - and the half-life of the radioactive material. I would then create a company called Vault-Tec build A series of vaults for post-apocalyptic survivors and give them Pip-boys.

That was created 10 years BEFORE the great war. I would say it's too late.

and the half-life of the radioactive material.

The most dangerous stuff, 7-10 days. The stuff that will still make you life expectancy 50 years shorter, 10,000-20,000 years.

Have fun.

Me? Dig a hole in the ground and live there. Scavenging stuff from stores, etc. You know, normal stuff people do when their city is turned to glass.

Evacuate to the nearest fallout shelter and live out life there, until escape is possible.

That's all I could do really. And no, you can't just come out after some time and expect to be able to walk around without incident.

If you have all eternity, 100,000 years down the road will cure your problems.

But the radiation in reality is your biggest problem. Background levels won't stop being highly dangerous for thousands of years. Then you would have predators, people who want to kill you. Those are fun.

The good news is you probably won't survive. A nuclear war is the only thing where I would hope to die now rather than later, for death is inevitable. Die now, fast and painless, or die later, slow and terrible.

Yes, it'll take that long for it to be completely and entirely safe. The only way to survive a nuclear war would be to find some sort of way to live self-sufficiently in an underground shelter. Though such facilities are years away from being realized. Decades perhaps.

Lol.

I agree. Except I sort of want to die. I'm not emo though. The world would just be even more corrupted. Nuclear blasts causes cancer!
