I just saw an AD on AG that was advertising Window Internet explorer 8. Don't you think it's a little to early for 8? There still showing windows 7 on TV.

Internet Explorer has been on 8 for over a year. It came out around the development of Firefox 3.5. I only begrudgingly updated to 8 because the messages on Windows Update got annoying.

Winodws 7 has nothing to do with Internet Explorer 8. Complete misinterpretation. IE 8 as Gantic said has been out for a while, (and still sucks). IE 8 is a internet browser. Windows 7 is an Operating System created by Microsoft.

C-C-C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER, ahem. On topic, As sand says - they aren't linked. Both are made by Microsoft who enjoy bundling their inferior software in with their inferior operating system.

inferior operating system.

Superior. Windows is superior. But that's another topic.

IE 8 is their lame attempt at trying to outdo Firefox and Chrome, because Microsoft likes having a market in everything that has wires and turns on. I'm surprised they don't have a TV yet, though I'm sure that's coming.

They should stick with game systems and OS's, the only things they're good at.

IE is crap . Worst Web Browser ever! It fails at Internet security against viruses.

Uh, IE 8 is an internet browser and Windows 7 is an operating system. IE 8 has been out for a year, and it's actually quite early to be seeing IE 9 advertisements.

Microsoft loves to encroach on everything. The original IE managed to dethrone Netscape but nowadays it's IE is just bull. MS tries to learn its lessons, but its competitors are simply better at making web browsers than it is.

I just find it laughable that IE still controls a large portion of the browser market. Those people who are still stuck using IE ought to see the light.

Windows isn't a bad OS by the way. Why has it been dominating then? I pretty much agree with Orion.
