I personaly dislike MW2 because it really is an over rated game. its " in my perspective" a terrable game.why it is a terrable game is because I hate the small maps and also the camping.why is camping so fun? Well its not. so please tell me if you are addicted to this game or not.

I hate the game with such a passion (that sounded gay lol) that every time I play it I want to shoot myself. But I actually play it a lot for some reason, so yes, even though it's probably the worst game I've ever played, it is kind of addictive.

*Enters defensive mode*

-You spelled terrable wrong
-Most maps are incredible large/or small. The only "small" (original) maps are Rust and ...Highrise? that's still only 1/8.
-Camping is fun because you get many kills (too lazy to elaborate).

This game is fun IMO. people just need to stop trying so hard sometimes (I was and sometimes still am guilty of this). Do something different, go for something cool, etc. It makes the game worthwhile.

i think it's actually quite addicting yes, but everytime i play i just spot to many faults or glitches in the game that it eventually starts to annoy me. for instance the spawning system is the worst thing i have ever seen in such a game. Even on the Stimulus map pack, which was extremely expensive for only 3 'new maps' and 2 old ones. That's a lot of money for such low effort. But in their stupid thinking the actually did manage to make complete and utterly shit out of the new maps by simply making everybody spawn behind you.

But don't get me wrong, i play the game a lot and when i'm doing well i enjoy it a lot too, but sometimes it really gets me mad.

I am not addicted to it nor was I ever.

I can see why it would be addicting to the casual gamer (the guy who plays games when he's bored on xbox360).

Let's face it, MW2 is the pinnacle of this casual gamer trend. Casual gamers love to:

-Unlock shit (weapons, killstreaks, etc.)
-Rank up+prestige (show off the e-peen, prestige is possibly the stupidest thing ever, I don't know how people keep ranking up 11 times and are never bored)
-get rewarded for the smallest achievement (oh, you killed an enemy more than 10m away, LONGSHOT ACHIEVEMENT)
-get easy kills for killing (killstreak rewards)
-get easy kills for dying (deathstreak rewards)
-customizable setup (here, we'll give you like 15+ perks and 8+ attachments even though only at max 5 perks are worth using and only like 3 attachments)
-Easy gameplay (no actual bullets in MW2, everything is instantaneous, the moment you put your sights over their hitbox and press the trigger, they start getting damaged)
-No-recoil weapons (goes hand in hand with easy gameplay)

It's the ultimate casual gamer game. Since most of these guys would blow so bad at a real FPS (TF2, CS:S, etc.) they feel so pro showing off their rank 70 10th prestiger in MW2 and it makes them feel so good inside that they think their e-peen is so big.

I hate MW2 and everything it represents. CoD4 was a good game, or at least better than MW2, then MW2 just took all the scrub aspects of CoD4 and made them x9000 while leaving out the somewhat skilled aspects (like guns with recoil). MW2 is the epitome of the wannabe pro FPS.

I scoff at the comments made by my friends who think they're pro since they're 3rd prestige in MW2 on Xbox360 and have a 1.1 kill to death ratio, it just is so pathetic.

Owen if i spelt it wrong they why did you? also i play Bad Company Battle Field 2. there are some maps there that take 6 to 7 minutes to get to one side to another.i find everything about it small the guns, the classes, the rank system, and the hackers and noobs. hate them all.

i think its not really that game that makes ME addictive. i completed the singleplayer and i played black ops, i dont know how it is to play online in matches. but i can say, the singleplay is not addictive, and the story is not that good...

mw1 was better for me.

Look up Battlefield Bad Company 2, MW2 maps are tiny, simple as.

And why they had snipers in it I don't know, the maps are too small, and some of the shotguns in real life can (literally) shoot from one end of the map to the other. It's unrealistic and overrated.

Bad Company 2 takes much more finesse mind you, larger maps, bullets take time to travel, and at a further distance also falls. The bullets aren't 1-shot 1-kill unless it's a headshot either. And the points system is much better made. Especially with medics, engineers and ammo kits (assault). The game take more strategic balance and it gets different each time you play the map because of different landscapes and surfaces (destructible ground, like an AT mine going off will make a crater for cover).

Battlefield > MW2 > CoD4 > Cod3 > Cod2 (Maybe) > Cod1 > Asteroids Actually asteroids is fun, I'm gonna play it now

Point is, Battlefield is the best shooter yet. And it's first one wasn't rated well enough either. Go ahead, try it out xD

And no, it's not addictive to me, to be on topic (at last rofl )

Well I actually like it =P The maps are very well made, and I enjoy the smaller maps, it increases game speed. But there are still bigger maps too. The casual gamer does not want an enormous map when the only means of transportation is walking. If the games were longer and there were more modes of getting around, then ya, big maps all the way. The game suits your specific gameplay needs. If you want a high paced game, up close and personal, put on marathon and commando and just go to town. Want it a little slower, snipe or camp and there's a ton of middle ground.

Well the way I find it small is that it is low in variety. There are no type of transportation other then walking. The gun would be ok if they did them better, like more recoil, or more reload time.if you played Battlefield Bad Company 2 you will see what I'm talking about.
