But anyways, this will hopefully be the official Black Ops thread. Talk about it, discuss it, etc. Obviously, the game isn't out yet, but w/e. (That was a ****load of commas)

1) You only get two perks in mutliplayer, and this combination of perks determines your third perk. 2) There is a new armour system, e.g. Cold-Blooded and juggernaut are armours you can wear (not much detail given on this). 3) The FAMAS returns, but is no longer a 3-round burst weapon. Instead it is full-auto. 4) There is no M4. Instead another new gun mentioned seems like it will take its place, the SIG Commando. 5) Other new weapons confirmed include the RPK, Skorpion and MAC11. 6) There is no commando perk. (:]) 7) The scavenger perk is included, but no longer replenishes equipment. 8) The One man army perk is also not included. 9) The highest killstreak reward (at this time in devlelopment) is 15. 10) There is no emergency airdrop, but there is a care package. 11) As confirmed before, killstreaks will not stack. For instance, if you get a 5 kills without dying and receive your killstreak reward, the kills you get with that killstreak reward will not count towards your next killsreak (e.g. 7 kill killsteak). You will have to get two more kills, in that instance, by other means to receive your next killstreak. 12) You can sprint to prone in the current build of the game. Basically this means you can dive straight on your belly after sprinting, instead of having to stop, crouch and than go prone. 13) The tactical knife is gone, while a new knife is being introduced: the ballistic knife. This is a knife that has a spring that can shoot a blade (in real life, not necessarily in the game). 14) The claymore is a piece of equipment, and you only get 1 per life. 15) Grenades are not considered equipment, and replenished by scavenger. 16) The M16 is in the game, and still a powerful weapon. (Or as Woody puts it, still the ****!) 17) The PSG1 sniper rifle is in the game. 18) UAV, airstrike and 3 types of helicopters are back as killstreaks. The Pave Low is confirmed as well, and has a feature unique to the game. 19) The SR-71 plane is also one of the killstreak rewards.
Wow guys stop hating on me. That would just be mean and unfair because I was exaggerating since I was in a bad mood when I posted that and wanted to make mw2 seem worse.

First, there's a phone number (1-877-380-4270) It lead to a simple jingle, which is reminiscent to the mystery box noise from W@W zombies (hints at zombies mode?) Yes, say what's going to be bad in a game that isn't even out yet......makes perfect sense. Since some of you can predict the future i'm going to ask if it's okay to invest in gold now or will it be worth shit 10 years from now.
Weapons
The crossbow will just probably a high rank vanity item. It will most probably be the top tier stealth unlock (???) Waaaaaa M16 is OP waaaaaa. You do realize that even if a gun is overpowered it will be shit in the hands of crappy player (most of you) Every game starts out with OP weapons, just wait a while till the devs figure out how to make a gun not op, while not turning it into ass.
Timeline Why do people get such hardons when a game is set in the advanced information age and rage when it is set earlier? Yeah yeah, I know WW2 games have been done to death, but let's remember all the fun times they gave us. Timeline =/= fun. Going online on Cod 2 and 3 on my ps2 was teh shit. It was the most fun I had on a shooter. Now then, since this game is set in the vietnam era (coldwar ftw?) It has a chance to be one of the most significant of the shooter genre, considering there hasn't really been a good Vietnam shooter in a whiiiiiile (and that one didn't even get that high of a reviewscore)
Treyarch is trying their best to make this game as balanced as fun as they possibly can.
Also, we got dedicated servers up in'ere!!!!!! The PC gamer master race spits on all you console dogs! BWAHAHAHAHHA.
-Hopefully, the single player campaign will actually be something that will leave you wanting more before you hit multiplayer.
to be honest admit it Black ops will not be as good as MW2 and will be an extreme let down it WILL NOT be made be infinty ward so it WILL suck so please stop while you are ahead and really bolt action sounds so noobish(im gonna use bolt action on you:P)
I just hate burst fire guns because pretty much every lobby I join everyone on the other team is using them and it gets really frustrating when my intervention gets a hitmarker and some guy with an M16 just hits me in the chest with 3 bullets and kills me.
So whenever I see the words M16 on forums, I think of the Devil, and I cry a little inside because of how little of a chance I have when I'm using my handy dandy Intervention.
I apologize for that comment, I think I was playing Mw2 that night before I posted it and I was getting slaughtered by a team of people using the M16 (literally everyone on the other team). That led me to believe that the reason behind no gun balance in Mw2 was because of the sniper-burst-guns like the FAMAS and M16. Obviously it's not true.
I'm actually kind of excited for this game anyway. The single player is going to be really fun. Also it's not worth a reserve unless the beta comes with the poster which I hear is going to happen, my local GameStop cashier said that.
The FAMAS and M16 are NOT over powered. You need stopping Power to even consider killing at a distance and the M16 is actually only good when you put a Holo sight on it. I never see people use this gun. Most people use the SCAR or the TAR or the friggin UMP. Not the freaking M16. They will NOT take it out of the game because 70% of Cold War American troops used this gun. Be glad it doesn't jam every ten rounds like it did in real life.
Let's see... The Scar, Tar, UMP, Ak-47, Famas, M16, Fal are all OP. They only need 3-4 bullets to kill, which, combined with their high rate of fire, kills much too fast. These are the MLG guns. These are all they use.

Oh mai gawds!1!1 infinity ward has a ttly aweshum reputation so noone else can match them!!1! Have you played MW2 lately? Can you honestly tell me that MW2 was not a let down in some way?
Also, bolt actions are noobish how? What is the most popular sniper in MW2? The intervention. In COD 4? M40A3. Both are bolt action.

Oh no! What's this? A weapon unlike the other guns??? don't worry, i'll just pull out my riot shield and deflect all your projectiles. Or maybe i'll pull out my shotgun from 1887 and kill you with that.
Don't really understand why everyone says that the m16 is OP...all the guns in this game are OP and the m16 is not godlike and not easy to use since its burst.
I personally think it's overpowered, Brbgn, because it has a faster fire rate than all of the other assault rifles and kills in one burst. It is very easy to use...
