There aren't a lot of sports threads so, for now, they'll fit in the tavern. But wait for 3.0. AG might add a sports section.

Yes , This has been suggested so many times. It's not going to happen as some people on AG may not be into sports.

If this is the case then a whole section would be apropriate so they sports topics can stay out. Also some people may not be into.

Why is there a need to add a sports section? The tavern houses sport subjects excelently. There's no need to to make a section about sports, as it won't house many subjects. After handling a few sports people get tired of it, and then there will only be duplicate threads and spam left.

The tavern works fine for sport threads, there's no need to to make a sports section, for otherwise, we'd had to add one for every subject, like aliens, technology, health.... etc... We got the tavern with a reason.

@ Healmeal
Sports is such a broad subject.

I never said it isn't, but the main discussions will be soccer, tennis, swimming etc.. After a few weeks every sport has a thread and then we'd only get more duplicate threads.

And if you're trying to tackle my arguments, don't tackle one at a time

yeah and at sports it would too. For every single event in soccor man would make a new thread, even if it's practically the same. It's not always updating aswell, except with championships and tournaments, but they will make a new thread for every single one of them, and it will result in questions like, who supports ...?

user 2: me!
user 3: not me!
User 4: me me me!!

EG, I don't see a good clear reason to make a sports section.

Your going to find theses replies in every section, i predict the threads to be Wales Vs Scotland this game was very close Smith played a very good second half but was let down by Bradley. The Ref made some bad calls and some say he is blind, what do you think about the and do you agree with the reffs call's?

Answer: yes the game was very close and the reff made some shocking calls blah blah blah.

The point being is that those types of Questions are found all over the fourm and if your useing that as a point then we might as well delete the other sections. As i said befor sports is such a broad topic it is all around the world and probely the number one thing that all of the multi cultural community can relate and voice a opinion on. Even if you hate sport everyone has an opinion on it.

Yeah. It's going to happen in every forum, duplicate threads. WELL GUESS WHAT. Even THIS thread is a duplicate.

What HealMeal is trying to say, is that yes, there are already duplicate threads, but why add to them? There's obviously going to be some, but if we did add a Sports sub forum, it would just add to the problem.

What's the matter with posting threads about things like the World Cup in the Tavern? Nothing. So go post them (if not already) in there.

There is nothing wrong with it just SPORT is such a large topic it deserves to have its own "Subfourm"

Exactly!

Science is aswell, history is aswell, music alone is already, movies alone are, etc... still they're all combined. This, to keep things more organised and less duplicates.

Just like that, it isn't hard, and isn't any extra work either.
