[b] Has anyone got the scoop on Bethesda's 4'th game in the series, Fallout new Vegas?
I am a longtime fan and absolutely loved the switch to 3-D and the online modding community! But may i ask, does anyone know about the game??? Info? maybe a vid??
I may get this, I'll certainly try as long as the special offer on Steam is up (pre-order New Vegas and get Fallout 3 GOTY Edition or Morrowind GOTY). I don't really care about searching for previews of the game, Bethesda have never managed to screw up before, I don't think they will this time.
Bethesda isn't developing the game. Blackout Studios, the developers of Fallout 1 and 2 are in charging of developing it. Bethesda is a publisher and the game engine being used is Fallout 3's.
Although, I'm anticipating New Vegas, I hope Bethesda announces TES V.

That's surprising. Is that the result of the legal battle over the ownership of Fallout (or whatever the feud was about)? If Blackout Studios get this right I hope they become a bit more popular, because I did enjoy Fallout 1 and 2.
Gah, sorry for the double post, I was looking at your quote and wrote Blackout instead of Black Isle. Black Isle studios deserve a better reputation without a doubt. Baldur's Gate and the original Fallouts were all brilliant games, pretty under-rated too.
Bethesda Didnt make Fallout 1 and 2. By the way, Fallout 3 is the 4th game and fallout new vegas is 5th. And Fallout New Vegas is not going to be by Bethesda.

Black Isle. And they did. The company producing New Vegas will be a separate company which split away from Black Isle when they collapsed (Obsidian Studios?). I hope Obsidian can produce games of the same calibre as their father company, because Baldur's Gate and Fallout 1 owned.

Yeah. Interplay (the father company of Black Isle Studios) produced another game in between Fallout 2 and Fallout 3 called Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel, as far as I know. I personally didn't care at the time - I'd always thought of Fallout as a strategy game, but when the next one was an RPG, made by Bethesda, I knew it was a game worth getting.
Just a little extra, there was also a game called Fallout Tactics which was a strategy game. Fallout Tactics was not produced by either Betheda or Interplay, but rather some minor company that every body has forgotten about.
TL;DR Version:
Interplay > Black Isle and Interplay > Obsidian Bethesda Producer of Fallout Tactics

Totally true! Lol, the only reason i got it is because of playing oblivion and loving it Then fallout 3 led to hours and hours of awesomeness!

New Vegas is actually being made by Obsidian Entertainment but which is made of most of the Black Isle Studios, so it should be pretty good.
Good thing they are adding iron sights. Aiming was bit hard in Fallout 3 without using VATS. But, can't wait, because you get to visit Las Vegas (New Vegas). I saw it on the trailer and it looks like the best place to explore in!
