ForumsWEPRModerators NOT DOING THEIR JOBS! (Actually, mods can't see flagged comments.)

I'm getting absolutely SICK of this, I'm seeing quite a lot of people advertising porn in the comments sections of games. But here's the fun part, you flag it (and I'd be willing to bet some other people do too), and a few days later, it's still there!

Are the moderators even paying attention!? Or is the flagging system just some twisted joke designed to make us feel more secure?

Just imagine how many young children do what the comment says because they're unaware of what it has in store, and I don't even want to think about what kinds of things happen next...

Please post specific examples of similar experiences you've had and what you think of this. The point of this tread, in case you're wondering, is to get a message out the mods, because they aren't responding to anything.

To kick it off, let's start with a good example. In the comments section of Pixel Legions, there is a guy named kurdbeast101 who says "for the best free porn go 2 pornhub.com". Any other examples out there?

The site is inundated with floods of spam comments each day. It would be impossible for mods to simply delete every single spam comment as it appears. Firstly, they have a lot of flags to work through and secondly (as I said) there is too much spam simply to delete it as it happens.

I really don't think you can pin this on the mods - y'know why? You think it's bad now? Imagine if the mods DIDN'T do anything - it would be many times worse. You have a personal grievance with someone - keep it that way. Don't blame the moderation team as a whole because they try very hard. You're forgetting they have lives as well and can't hover over the site day and night.

Well, kids should be mature enough not to click certain links such as that, and the mods DO do their jobs, but you can't expect them to have such a watch over games as would be required to counteract that.

They have much more important things to do in my opinion.

Ion, this is not the place to post something like this. You're best plan of action would have been to contact a moderator about your issues. Because you are creating spam with this topic.

I can understand the issues you have. Always report those users that you see posting inappropriate things to a moderator and something will be done ASAP.

Yeah, I guess I am overreacting a little. But I guess this really hinges on how many moderators there are. Wait, here's an idea, how about a system where some users have more flagging power through responsible use of it?

What I'm really trying to say here is that there could be a better system for this sort of thing, like a filter or something.
