Theres plenty of shooters out there but would be interesting to see a shooter that involves elements of aviation. Something with a blend of ace combat, galaga or R-type that lets you control a ship or aircraft. The genre could be arcade or RPG but it should include upgrades and a non linear build to the upgrades something like sonny or arcuz so that players could create a unique build thruout the game. A mix of this style of upgrades with something similar to Robokill would be very nice except Robokill just felt very repetitive after a while. Constructive criticism is welcomed along with other ideas
OK cool idea. how about like you said an rpg sort of game, but if you have played FFX or a similar final fantasy, it should be like where u free roam in ur ship and randomly encounter enemies! there should be a story line, teammates, bosses, cool abilities, and a side mission that goes on for a while. thats my idea.
Im thinking about making a side scrolling game where you control a helicopter and shoot down enemies with a gun that points at your cursor. I suppose I could have upgrade trees for the helicopter's weapons, but that would make it limited. Maybe if it was an alien spacecraft or an avian robot, it could accomodate more complex weapons starting from lasers to photon guns and plasma shooters, and maybe electromagnetic or ionic shields or something. Just my ideas, if you want to add to it and maybe work alongside me on the concept, feel free to do so.
A point and click game is good...I like point and click...it is better then some hard to use controls that involves the mouse, WASD, IJKL, space bar and some other [put swearing here] controls. And also RPG, action adventure and a lot of other genre I like.
I REALLY hate games that require you to use the arrow keys, they are SOOOOO badly placed on the keyboard. And I think that WASD are the best controls out there.
If you had made a new game, it would need to be playable, and have a good storyline, if you was thinking of a adventure game, point and click games seems so plain.
i think a good idea would be an old ship/pirate ( the idea itself but maybe an option for a a split storyline?) where you can recruit your crew (non-complex, easy), plunder or trade the seas, and all that. somewhere between a raft wars, frontier, and a strategy/adventure with a fully upgradeable ship and decent CPU enemies. sidescroller prolly best
Yeah..a pirate strategy game would be good. How 'bout like this;
The game is set on the pirate age, when piracy is still kinda like everyday life. You can write your captain's name, the name of your pirate crew, your ship's name. So the story is like this>> Your a young pirate trying to write your name on history. You go on some places like the bar, other island, in the toilet, under the sea (now why would ya do that? Treasures!) and fighting some other pirates and ...cops? Navy? Well something like that (I don't remember what it is called). You can upgrade the ship,the pirates under you and such and when you finish the game it will show something like your ship fighting an enemy pirate at the sides, then in the middle it shows credits and such. After that, when the credit ends you should put something like: winning and in the middle, a sentence saying: "Congrats, you have now become one of the most known pirates in the history" and then the screen goes black and a sentence show up and says: "THE END...?" with the word "THE END" show up first followed by three dot and a question mark. Then you can make a sequel out of this
BTW, I've think of this very thoroughly so please, comment about it if you like.
not quite. as a gamer, i dont enjoy linear play. possible weapon slots for ships? boarding epic fights?idk..... and your thinking of the Royal Navy, the british, who were the main 'enforcers' at the time. the vehicle system from frontier would be good....
